3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Kestral (494) - Årnes, - JUL 12, 2011
Bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head that fades quickly. Surprisingly hoppy aroma. Grassy and spicy, evident Saaz skunk as the bottle is opened. Not too shabby though. Some lemon underneath, only a hint of the wheat grain. Flavour is pretty straightforward, spicy hops dominate, while grains are in the background. A slight tartness in the finish. Not entirely a german hefe, too hoppy for that. Body could have used some more heft, as it stands a bit thin. A pretty good refreshing drink though.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 TBone (9414) - Pori, FINLAND - APR 13, 2011
Bottled 33cl (alc. 4.0%, K-Kamppi, BB 10/2011)
Hazy orange color, small off-white head. Aroma has wheat, citrus and spices plus hints of sulphur and onions. Body is of course light, but not as watery as expected. Crisp carbonation. Slightly acidic, citrusy flavor. Orange peels, vegetables, some fresh hoppyness too (Saazer). Although hoppyness is German, beer itself feels more like American style wheat ale than German Hefeweizen.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 12HundredBaud (262) - Sausalito, California, USA - MAR 2, 2011
33 cl bottle from a local supermarket. It pours a hazy pale golden liquid with small white head that lasts throughout the beer, leaving a little lacing. The aroma is extremely natural: wheat, saaz hops, yeast, some citron and herbal hints. It tastes likewise, maybe with more yeast and some spices. It is extremely refreshing; just the kind of beer anyone would hope for on a hot and sunny day. It is a little sweet and tart, with medium bitterness. Lively carbonated and medium-bodied, it ends dry, leaving a pleasant wheat aftertaste. Good presentation (bottle and crown cap).

0,33 l bottle as a gift.
Hazy orange-yellow with a nice delicios foamy white head. Grainy nose with some flat citrussy character. Vertical body, citrussy taste with a minimal malt and some mild honey in the background. Rather a berliner weisse.
