COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cream Ale is a style that is is under-appreciated by most of the craft beer world, we want to change that. Lawn Ranger is session ale with a solid malt character from the US 2-row, Rye, and Flaked Oats. Rye and Oats are not typical ingredients for a cream ale but they allow us to keep the alcohol low and still provide a some body to the beer. We use a minimal blend of Apollo and Bravo hops to balance the malts and German Alt yeast. This is the one to drink during the Texas summers or when you want to have more than a couple.

From a can, pours a yellow color with a foamy white head that dissipates quickly. I smell malt, some yeast and light citrus. I taste a smooth creamy light citrus and grains. Very refreshing. Not bad at all:)

Decent for a boring style. Faint and mild malt aroma with a drinkable straw-like flavor and a hint of hops. Light palate that is true to the style.

Can. Pours gold with a white head. Mild grainy malty notes, light sweetness, and light floral bitterness, followed by a quick and relatively clean finish. Not bad.

Though by their own admission is not exactly to style it does fulfill their purpose. Very drinkable lawnmower beer with more body and a good hop malt balance yet malt forward. The rye is apparent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

16 oz. can. Pours a thin, poorly retained, off white head, over a slightly hazy, gold (SRM 5) body......nose is cereal malts, light citrus, minimal herbal hops.....taste is light cereal malts, barest hints of sweetness, light citrus, primarily grapefruit, finishing with the bares wisp of hop bitterness. The citrus notes are not to style. There are also no corn notes. The style is usually quite insipid , while this on has a modicum of personality. BJCP 5/2/10/4/5

16 ounce can. Pours a pale gold with a decent white head. Mild aroma of malt and citrus. Taste is malt, grain, and citrus. Nothing too exciting here, but nothing bad either.

On draft at Toro Burger in El Paso. Sweet, grassy, slightly skunked aroma. Flavor is mild and sweet, with a little vanilla and grassy hops. OK.

Light gold, good slightly off-white head. Mine was quite cloudy and had a nicely thick palate. A decent bit going on with this beer made it fun to drink.

Straw in color with a quickly disappearing medium head in pale color. Nose is faintly sweet with no hop character present. Medium body with high carbonation and lots of sweetness is, I'm told, atypical for the type but not unpleasant. Rye and malts come through clearly in the palate and the high carbonation leaves a clean sensation appropriate for a summer day. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. Pours a hazy gold with a high, lacy, mashed-potato white head. Not much nose to it -- what there is is generic corn syrup, cereal, aluminum foil, and corn. Sweet and malic on the front of the tongue -- good mouthfeel, I can tell the oats are there, but I canít pick up much rye or hops at all and the carbonation is too low. Thereís very little ale character to it; itís acceptable but bland. Finish is short and forgettable. Too mild and too tentative.
