COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cream Ale is a style that is is under-appreciated by most of the craft beer world, we want to change that. Lawn Ranger is session ale with a solid malt character from the US 2-row, Rye, and Flaked Oats. Rye and Oats are not typical ingredients for a cream ale but they allow us to keep the alcohol low and still provide a some body to the beer. We use a minimal blend of Apollo and Bravo hops to balance the malts and German Alt yeast. This is the one to drink during the Texas summers or when you want to have more than a couple.

Pours a slightly hazy pale yellow-gold color with a thin creamy white head that diminishes quickly to a film. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of bready malt and hops. Light-bodied with flavors of biscuit malt and mild grassy hops. The finish grainy with a mild hoppy aftertaste. Average overall.

Can:   Yellow hued straw, pale haze, light carbonation, small frothy white head, little lacing.   Oats on the nose, subtle rye, a little sweaty.   Brighter on the tongue than the nose suggested.   Pale straw, semi-sweet, oats, sweet grass.   Expected it to be mealy but its not.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Feels spritzy as well.   Soft dough and bready finish, oats, very mild oat like sweetness.   Decent.   Expected it to be a bit more mealy/bready for a cream ale, but actually thankful its not.   Thanks Bill!

Can. Pours a mostly clear golden color with a large white head. A light grainy nose. A bit of skunky flavors, metal, corn, sweet malts. Really not nice. Reminds me of a lighter malt liquor. Really sweet and odd.

On tap at the Holy Grail Pub in Plano. The beer pours a slightly dirty, hazy yellow color with a white head. The aroma has a some strong banana notes, as well as some cream and wheat notes. The flavor is very similar. I get some sweet malt and a lot of banana and wheat, a handful of flavors that don’t really go well together. Overall, the beer tastes like a mess. Medium mouthfeel and low carbonation. Not good, hopefully the brewery will improve as they get more experience.
