COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An ESB style ale brewed with lots of hops. The hops contribute to the robust flavor and aroma of this ale. This is our most bitter beer.

hazy amber with a thin white head. Hoppy nose. Caramel malt and hops flavor, a bit of citrus but the hops overpower it. kind of thin and one dimensional as I didn’t pick up much else from this one. Decent.

On tap at the brewpub. This is not retired. Simply the brewpub changed its name. Same brewer, same beer, same recipe. This was the only beer served here with any hop character. However, the malt backbone has whimpered away leaving this an unbalanced watery potion of harsh hop bitterness.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear light orange color with filmy off white head that left some lace. Aroma is of subdued malty caramel and sprucy hops. tasted of caramel and a touch of brown sugar with a pleasant soft bitter finish. There was also an annoying soapy flavor lurking somewhere in the background.

On tap at the brewpub: Reddish amber with a lightly sticky head. Pretty watery. Sharp citric bite, but no body behind it.

Light amber color with traces of a head. The aroma is fairly nice with grapefuit and some bread. Fresh grass too. Solid aroma. The taste is bitter grapefruit with a medium mouthfeel. There is also a little pine. Actually a very nice bitter that approaches an English style pale ale.

Dark amber body. Caramel and sprucy hops in the aroma. The hops take the lead in the flavor, they’ve taste like sprucy dandelions. There’s a hint of caramel sweetness but not too much. Quaffable!

Pretty decent pale. Nice hoppy aroma with decent caramel sweetness and a nice fairly dry finish. Solid.
