Golden orange with an off white ring of foam. Light malt aroma. No hops on the nose. Grain and cereal body. Not a great example.

Color is bronze. Aroma is malty with hints of caramel. Taste is balanced between bitter hops and strong malt. Mouthfeel is decent. Finishes with malt and even a bit of toffee. Decent.

From bottle, Biltmore Tavern (5/19/15). Mild pale ale with noble beany hops. Light golden amber with thin head. Good taste but like pilsner malt/noble hops mix than a caramelly English pale ale.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft sample at Cedricís Tavern at the Biltmore near Asheville, NC; clear darker amber color with off-white head. Aroma notes of light citrus/fruity hops and malt sweetness. Taste adds more sweetness, light fruitiness and faint pine. Light-medium body, moderate carbonation, clean with light citrus hop finish. Pretty hop light even for an English style, the light fruitiness is nice though. Easy drinking pale.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Location: Draft at the Biltmore, 1/1/15
Aroma: Thereís a clean hop component, a little orange/citrus, and some pale malts
Appearance: It pours a clear orange-gold color with a small white head
Flavor: The flavor is along the same lines, lightly sweet, with a clean bitterness on the finish
Palate: This one has a nice, clean feel, fairly light body, with a lively carbonation
This is a pretty solid, lighter example of the style. Fairly quaffable. Thereís not much to fault here as far as major flaws go. It worked nicely with the food as well.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Thanks to Marshall Hutcheson for bringing me a bottle from NC. Clear dark amber color, thin ivory rim head, thin streaks of lace. Taste is malt that moves through the palate without incident to a lightly bittered finish. Pretty simple brew, not enough to attract much positive attention.

Clear Orange with white head. Poured from draft at Cedrics at the Biltmore. Sweet honey aroma. Has a honey aftertaste. Decent fruit flavor as well. Not really what I thought is a pale ale - but enjoyable

Tap @ Cedricís Tavern Biltmore Estate - pours clear amber, white head, which it retrains, nice lacing on the glass. Comes across as caramel dry malts. A Solid, flavorful, pale ale.

12 ounce bottle from a friend. A honey gold beer that is pretty much clear. A smallish almost white head leaves some lacing as it falls. An aroma of candied fruit, grain, and pale malts. The taste begins with some different kind of complex fruit. Again, it is candied. Hops are mild and taste of mangoes and lemon. Light caramel malts. More of a citrus finish.
