[3947-20110902] Tap. Doughy yeast bread aroma. Clear, brown orange body with a long-lasting creamy white head and spidery lacing. Lightly bitter grainy yeast bread dough flavour. Medium body. Surprisingly good, considering all the ratings here -- would like to try it more regularly. (6/3+/6/4/13) 3.2+

2011-09-02. Crisp golden yellow. Nice foamy white head. Grainy lightly cream corn aroma gives way to straw, floral buttercup hops. 6+ Flavour has a decent amount of bitterness to it, floral hop character. Average palate. Significantly better than expected! Must have improved a lot? On tap at Barney’s, London

On tap at the CEEPS Very light pale yellow typical Canadian bar Draught reminds me of the mens room or the bastion. Just fill the table with 10 cent draughts

Draught. With MrManning at the Ceeps, natch. Very pale, flat-looking yellow, no head or bubbles. Sweet diactyl and grain aroma - thin, not promising. Taste is yer basic macro-ish Canadian pale lager - sugary, stale grain, enough cloying diactyl caramel to make me leave about 1/3 of it in the glass - watery yet syrupy, pretty flat, sugary and a slightly unpleasant aftertaste. Not on to be proud of - still better than Labatt Blue or most Steelbacks though.

On tap at the brewpub. First of all, let me say that I was going into this fully prepared for one of the worst beers ever, and I was suprisingly shocked that it was actually decent. Pours a sparkling gold body topped by a thin white head, that disappears real fast. Aroma is faint in every aspect, but not offensive. Hops, grassy notes, and some sort of spice? Decent. Taste is good, bitter, hoppy, slight corn though, which was a tad disappointing. Clean crisp finish though, bitter aftertaste, and a decent bite to it. Ceeps lager (Mustang Ale) isn’t actually that bad.

This is god awful stuff. Smells and tastes like crap. The only redeeming feature is that it’s cheap.

Clear straw. Thin off-white head. Faint, sweet, mildly fruity (grapes) aroma. Light body. Sweet malt flavour w/ some light breadiness & mild hops. Clean, though, overall quite bland.
