Celis Lagniappe

I love the word ’lagniappe’ much more than I like the beer -- average at best.

Standard amber/pale ale. Reddish copper color, moderate head. Aroma is fruity, as is the flavor, although I can’t tell exactly which fruit. Enough hops to give it a nice balance, although it loses character at room temp. A decent, but not outstanding, amber ale (and to tell the truth, I haven’t had an outstanding amber ale).

This beer was a pleasant surprise. I was on Bourbon St. during Mardi Gras and it was between Budweiser and Lagniappe.

it’s pretty average...once my dad got a 6-pack of this stuff and half the bottles were almost empty, with the caps still on...no reflection on the beer, but it was amusing because he handed them round before discovering this...
