2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 RSRIZZO (1679) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - SEP 23, 2007
Had this beer in 5/2/1998. Color is a bright gold with good carbonation and head. Aroma is just a light malt scent. Taste is light with a fair amount of bitterness on the end. It starts with a light body that goes down a little creamy. The Finish is pretty clean leaving you with a light hop bitterness but no hop flavor. Its very drinkable but does not fully fit as a pale ale. After a while the finish leaves you with a flat taste.

I still have a full bottle of this from a long damn time ago. Somewhat harsh but not any worse than other pale ales.

I was reeled in but it turned out to be decent. An ok pale ale. I would probably buy some again.

I suppose this beer is meant to be a pale ale -
and in drinking it, thats what it comes closest
too, but its quite lifeless and not very
hoppy. Still, it tastes fairly good. Perhaps
treat it as an introduction to pale ales for the
hop novice who wants to start slowly.
