fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Dec 4, 2006 Draught Hazy blond color. A plain wheat, as usual for Belgians it’s quite good, most of all maltier, and the malt is crispy. NoiZe (1288), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands Nov 6, 2006 Cloudy yellow. Very nice fruity aroma, citrus and a bit coriander.
Very wheaty, grainy taste. Much citrus in the flavor too. Overall a very nice white, but it could use a little less citrus. thewolf (5633), Kolding, Denmark Oct 30, 2006 Muddy pale yellow with big white head. Aroma of banana, apples. A bit thin in palate - otherwise a prime excample of its kind. DrunkenWeasel (218), Portland, Oregon, USA Oct 7, 2006 Pours opaque and light yelow with a sizeable white head. Smells of grapefruit and pine. Taste is INSANELY citrusy. So much grapefruit taste with lemon mixed in. Hard to taste the wheat grain but it comes through more in the aftertaste with a wheaty flavor finishing off the palate. I don’t usually like wheats that much or belgians but this was nice. There was some yeasty flavor (as noted the wheat flavor at the end was accentuated by a yeast touch) but it wasn’t too much for my tastes and pretty nice. bask (305), Leuven, Belgium Oct 5, 2006 Cloudy bleak yellow body. Lemon, coriander, light malt. Soft flavour, more fruits en more balanced than Hoegaarden. Nice mouthfeel. Skinnyviking (4142), Copenhagen, Denmark Oct 4, 2006 Bottle. High white but quickly disappearing head. Light green body. Aroma lemon and coriander. Flavor of oranges and lemon with a touch of coriander. Fresh and nice with some acidity. frink (467), coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada Sep 22, 2006 Cloudy yellow with a huge white head. Banana aroma, some orange. The taste is "hoegaardenlike" but thinner with a tart edge. An o.k. beer but hoegaarden is still better. lgklotet (420), Singapore, Singapore Sep 19, 2006 Bottle (Monks Cafe Sthlm). Hazy, pale. Buttery aroma.. Spicy. This is goddam one of the best wits I’ve tried. Not the best, but one of the best.
