3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a hazy straw color with a small head and some pretty lace. Biscuit and yeast on the nose. Flavors of bread and light noble hops, it finishes with a bit of sweetness.
Nice session beer or intro to craft beer.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma: Bread and hay malt aromas Appearance: Pale straw color with a thick head that dissipates quickly, but leaves lots of lacing. Taste: Faint sweetness with a light bitterness to balance it. Palate: Light body, slick texture, average carbonation, long dry finish. Overall: I’m not blown away, and I’ve had better beers, but this isn’t a huge disappointment either. I think they’re aiming for a Bud/Miller/Coors crowd, and they’ve pretty much hit their mark. It’s got more flavor than a macrobrew, but it still is appealing to that market.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Well I think the style is mixed up on this, I know it says pilsner on the label but from the start it has many of the attributes of an IPA, wew. Big pungent hop and cleaning fluid volatile aroma and the first taste is ruder than many IPA I’ve had. Yep, they must have put lots of hops in this stuff and I don’t think they are noble hops fer sure. Alky has got to be quite high on this. Long bitter piercing plastic finish. If you like big strong ipa beers, forget my numbers; I can care less for beers that are big bitter IPA.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Growler pour) Slight bready aroma, with some grassy notes there as well. Pours a clear light straw, with a soapy white head that quickly fades. Nice easy drinking beer, with a light mouthfeel, and a nice hoppy finish. Hopefully this beer will be bottled and released soon.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sample at the Big Tap In on 04/21/2012. This beer pours a clear yellow-gold color with a medium fizzy white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Aroma of mild hops and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of slightly spiced hops, grainy malt and a touch of fruit. The finish is soapy and mildly bitter with a short hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at brewery
This is probably the best of four beers available at Cellar Rats on a visit today. Light and golden in color and easy on the palate it is everything a sessionable pilsner should be. When they get around to bottling/canning hopefully this will be one of the first things on the market.
Aroma / Appearance - Golden and carbonated with a nice white head this is everything that a summer beer should be. The nose is simple and clean - a bit of hops but mostly crisp lemon. Flavorful but subtle it has potential.
Flavor / Palate - Easy on the palate with a light lemony kick this soon fades away. Leaving the palate refreshed without a hint of fatigue this is the perfect beer to drink on a hot day (or in my case a partly cloudy cool afternoon). The price is even right for a nanobrewery - $4.00 a pint.
