Sample at Buckeye Beer Engine on 12/10/11. Pours a clear amber with a thick tan head. Aroma of grassy hops, some spiciness and biscuity malt. Caramel and tobacco flavor with biscuit malt character before a bitter grassy finish.

Bottle from a trader who apparently wanted to punish me. Dark caramel brown pour with a foamy tan head. Aroma is dead, faded malt, no hops, and a vacant whisper of caramel. Taste is bland, hopless malt, slight caramel, and perhaps some roast. Light and watery. No need to mince words: this beer absolutely sucks.

On draught at Grog Shop. This beer is a clear brownish-amber color with a thin off-white head that burns away to an outer ring quickly. Spotty lacing. Aroma of floral hops and pale malt. Medium body with flavors of hops, caramel malt and a touch of citrus. The finish is moderately hoppy with a short citrus aftertaste. Pretty average overall.

Tap sample. Poured a clear amber color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate hops and sweet malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration.

Pours amber with a nice tan head. Caramel, cereal, chocolate and slight biscuit on the nose. A ton of malt, toffee, chocolate, buttery, some butterscotch and not much hops. Medium on the palate with huge malt character and a hint of hops.

This must be a different brew than the one from 2009 as rated below, much more than a lager, heheh. I think its more close to 7% ABV. . This is a big beer. Darker brownish color with a nose of sweet malty flowery thing. Taste is super over the top personality of sweet malty alcohol turnbuckle. Carob alky stuff. Wew! New! Dew! Yep, you know you are drink-en something with this stuff. Difficult at times. Feels like an older high alky beer of some sort, not only is this un lagerlike but its way more than yer typical APA fer sure! Long bitter roto-tilling finish If you like big beers, give this a try, its strong something all righty. I just don’t happen to like BIG beers too much.
