4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at Cellarmaker in San Fran. Jarspag provided the hookup in bringing us here. This place is likely to blow up big if they keep their hops coming along they way they are now. Great little pale ale, extremely floral aroma with white peppercorn, apricot, pine needles and a big bag if extra dank pot. Flavor follows suit with low sweetness and a sessionable finish. An all-day drinker for sure. This place is reminding me very much of the high quality ultra-dry-hopped ales of Alpine Beer Co. in San Diego, and that is a beautiful thing.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at the brewery.
Aroma has a nice medium light cracker malt notes with some white bread and biscuit notes. Fairly hop forward with some nice citrus and tropical fruit notes. Hints of melon and grapes as well. Lots of pineapple and tangerine.
Pours a fairly clear, golden color with a small white head that recedes to the edges where it lingers. Light lacing and small legs.
Flavor has a light cracker malt note with faint biscuit and graham cracker notes. Moderate bitterness with a ton of hop character. Lots of tropical fruit including pineapple and mango. Quite a bit of citrus notes, more orange and tangerine than grapefruit. Some light melon and stone fruit adds more complexity.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall, a rather amazing, very happy pale ale. Cellarmaker can do no wrong when it cones to hoppy beers. Great hop character with moderate bitterness and a nice malt backbone. I could drink this beer all day every day.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap at Beercraft. Pours a clear orange bronze with a creamy white head. Aroma like Dole’s tropical citrus blend, heavy pineapple especially with sweet citrus and a dusting of leafy resin. Flavor follows in kind, navel orange and pineapple, slight apple, bitter lingering finish. Packed with flavor, utterly great pale ale.

Pour from growler, thanks to Mac, 05/31/2014. Clear golden pour, slightly hazy head, looks inviting. Aroma is citrus, dark melon, dank piney hops, healthy caramel malt backbone. Taste is bright grapefruit, earthy pine, touch of onion character, dank. Light body, drinks easy. Nice.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Half pint draft at the Cellarmaker tap room in San Francisco, California. The pour is slightly hazed orange copper with a white head that fell with nice lacing. The aroma is fresh strong tropical fruit, resin, and a general dankness (not just a clever name). The taste captures the nose and is fresh hops all the way through - the tropical pineapple mango fruit is blended nicely with the resin and dankness. Cereal malt is present as a backbone, thought the focus is 100% on the hops in this one. The palate is light bodied, crisp active carbonation and finishing with bright resin. Nice one, my kind of beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewery. Pours hazy golden/amber with a white head. Aroma of citrusy and fruity hops, pale and caramel malts, and some light dough. Flavor the same with a lot of hop aroma. Average texture. A good IPA.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the source. Aroma is tropical fruits, onion, grapefruit, and slight cat piss. Taste is nicely bitter and quite juicy but there is a little bit of butter in Nyerere which throws it off course. Could be great but was flawed IMO.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a pale orange-ish, gold-ish yellow. Fairly cloudy but still transparent. The head is white with fine bubbles and seems to be pretty sticky. The aroma is mouthwateringly good. Fruity hops bursting from the seams. Pineapple, peach, mango, tangerine, pine, raspberry, blackberry, grape. Quite dank. Tropical fruit salad. Chock full of similar hop notes on the palate. Fairly dry. Mild to moderate bitterness. Hop flavor juice. Little to no malt character. Long finish of tangerine and pineapple juice over light pine resin. Again, very dank. Light on the palate, though there is some body to the beer. Incredibly drinkable. Delicious. This beer is one of the best hoppy pale ales that I’ve tried. It’s just a mouthful of gentle but potent hop flavor.

On tap at Mikkeller Bar. Pours blonde with a magnificent funky hop aroma. There is a medium-bodied light malt flavor with a marvelous hop profile. I could drink a lot of this.
