Gangstergafje (284) - Capelle aan den IJssel, NETHERLANDS - JUL 29, 2015
The beer flew trough the air like a fountain after opening the bottle, what a waste. The beer was quite warm, due to refrigerator malfunction. The beer has a dark amber color, almost brown. The thick layer of rough almond colored foam disappears quickly. The beer smells a little bit metaly. The beer has a little hoppy smell, which gives a tiny citrusy flavor. The smell is not that strong, but quite pleasant. The taste is nice. There is a decent amount of bitterness. The beer has a tiny roasted barley flavor, very nice. There is also a hoppy flavor, which causes a refreshing sensation. The beer is very nice, unfortunately it was not refrigerated.

Erzengel (5528) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - JAN 17, 2015
The beer starts smooth and malty. Not too dry, but fresh and malty. slightly sweetish, not much roast, no bitterness. Not seep. The aftertaste is smooth, fresh, not too intense. A bit sad.

bottle from Bierzwerg. Clear deep red-brown colour, off-white head. Malty start with some dry roasty flavours, shy hints of dusty-grassy hops. Not as dry as a Schwarzbier - some quite nice dark malty flavours ere there.

Bottle. A very malty smell, some chocolate, light touch of bread. The small white head has a short duration, the body is dark red to brown. A nice taste of roasted malt, chocolate, a quite bitter finish. The body is light to medium strong, creamy and a little bit dry in the finish with a soft carbonation.

BeerViking (3175) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 30, 2010
50cl flip-top bottle bought in Germany. Pours a deep red-black with a fast disappearing off-white head. Faintly bready aroma with a little hay. Medium bodied with malt and burnt toffee character, notes of dried dates and a little dark chocolate. The aftertaste is roasty and bitter along with some herby hops.

FatPhil (10893) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JAN 4, 2010
500ml bottle (OPP, Helsinki, German Weeks 2009)
Very dark red, small head. Rich malty body, touch of roast. Some green hops in the finish. Pleasant crisp carbonation, plenty of caramel, or even treacly, retronasals. Not tremendously exciting, but pretty solid.
