Libery Bounds Spoons. Cask. Lightly hazy gold beer, good white head. Palate is dry with fine carbonation. Sweet spicy yeast. Apples and oranges. More spice. Dry finish. Meh!

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Amber with white head. There was a distinct boiled vegetable note to this, reasonably bitter, sweetish then a leafy, earthy note. Not sure.

Cask, handpump The Penny Black, JDW Bicester, Saturday 7th December 2013 Pours warm amber with thin white head, a little soapy, I even pick up a little radox, pine maybe showing. Not sure I get the pumpkin but this is truly gorgeous stuff. Excellent beer, quite thick in mouth, bitterness really hangs in there, bit dry at end and lengthy bitterness. Very nice, not sure that it is that Saisony but it’s good nonetheless. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Cask moon under water Watford. Golden coloured pour with a steadfast white froth. Aroma is orange blossom ans saison yeast phenols. Some pineapple. Flavour is agresive bitterness at the back of the throat. Grassy orange and saison Yeast. Medium body and low carb.

UPDATED: DEC 22, 2013 Cask handpull, The Felix Holt, Nuneaton, 17/12/13. Clear brass with a snowy white mousse lining the glass. Ripe satsuma, green peppery herb nose. Strong bitterness behind perfumed yeast, satsuma and perfumed coriander seed. Clinging bitterness with peppery alcohol hints. Not sure the bitterness fits the perfume. Good, although more a generic spiced Belgian blonde with an extra tweak of hop than a saison.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 18/12/2013. Golden with a frothy, white head. Yeasty, stone fruits, a perfumed, floral edge and dryish finish. No evidence of the advertised pumpkin, but a pleasant Belgian styled beer nonetheless.

Cask at JDW Charlie Hall; clear golden yellow pout with off white head, spice aroma, taste has orange, spice, clove, a hint of wheat, some citrus, pleasant lunchtime surprise at my local Spoons.

Cask at JDW Hammersmith. Clear orange colour, still, white foamy head, leaves decent lacing. Smell is toned down - getting some sweet fruity esters, malts. Body is medium, slightly foamy, low carbonation. Taste - watery malts, slight chemical, apple. Finishes with ash and yeast. Very drying. I was left feeling that this one could have been a lot better.
