Flavoursome strong pale ale, full of grapefruit aromas.
This commanding IPA-style beer is golden in colour, with a wave of hop aromas leading to a balance of bitterness and sweetness in the flavour, plus a lasting grapefruit finish. Hops used: Chinook, Citra, Magnum, Nelson Sauvin

Geruch zitrushopfig, malzig mit verdeckter Whiskynote. Hopfiger, zitrusartiger Beginn. Mittig malzige Statur, Bitter, erneut Zitrusnoten, sanft-ölig. Abgang orangig, malzig-bitter, fließend. Lange nachhallend. Sehr gut.

Bottle by 01.13. Nose with a strong caramel base and piny hops, some citrus/grapefruit. Hazy yellow-orange with a rocky off-white head. Taste is nice and bitter, brings it, spicy/floral notes with a little Christmas cookie and caramel, dries but there’s seemingly more booze here than the 5.6% listed on the label. Very (too-) crisp medium body an the grapefruit really makes itself known with some volume. Just heavy.

bottle. June 2013 BBD. lightly hazed bronze body with a tall and lasting off-white head. succulent coffee cake malt consumes the nose: spiced bread, honey / nectar, multi-grain crackers, clean and quite whiskey-like. hops provide balanced grass and fruit (dried pineapple and apricots) character, and the yeast is properly musty, dusty and rustic. medium-full body with a rich and sticky malt bite with touches of fresh peat; hops are modestly bitter and slightly resinous; yeast lends an old-world basement must and dried fruit quality. a bit sharp and smacking with a slight excess of alcohol for my tastes, but the body is lush and round and the carbonation full and fitting for the weight. another stellar English-style beer from Celt, and quite fresh, just arriving in state a couple of weeks ago.

Pours a clear and amber beer with a white head. The aroma is malt, caramel and hops with flowers, dirt and grass. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is bitterness. Overall an average but funny beer.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted bread, cookie), lightly hoppy (herbs, flowers), lightly yeasty (dough), with a note of Meyer lemon, light note of butter. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety/watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Basically a richer version of the Golden, but while the aroma is attractive it’s pretty quiet. Wonderful balance in the mouth, neither too sweet or too dry for its size, very clean and flavorful. As enjoyable as the Golden, but the Native Storm is the clear winner among the three.

From a bottle. Pours a honey golden colour with a decent head. Didn’t get a lot of aroma, but the taste is malty and sweet, balanced against some nice crisp grapefruity hops. Not as bitter as many North American styled IPAs, but I find those a bit astringent at times, so this was very palatable for me

Pours a hazy golden with a thin almost non-existant head. Aromas of yeast, some fruit, and earthy hops. Taste has some malt floating around, and a little bit of grapefruit, but with every sip I take away a dry, metallic finish. It’s not a bad offering but not necessarily that great either.

Darker yellow with white foam head lacing to glass. Aroma is bitter hops and some citrus, taste is same, with bitter prevailing. Citrus bitter aftertaste, a good beer. (Velp 201208)
