(bottle) Hazy, orange-golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Citrus-fruity and slightly herbal-spicy hoppy aroma with a mildly sweet pale malty background. Moderately bitter and slightly sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a smooth carbonation. Citrus-fruity (grapefruits) and also a bit exotic fruity hoppy taste with a soft pale malt-character; quite dry bitter-sweet fruity hoppy finish. Pleasant pale Ale with a hearty body. 20.IX.10

bottle. June 2013 BBD. lightly hazed bronze body with a tall and lasting off-white head. succulent coffee cake malt consumes the nose: spiced bread, honey / nectar, multi-grain crackers, clean and quite whiskey-like. hops provide balanced grass and fruit (dried pineapple and apricots) character, and the yeast is properly musty, dusty and rustic. medium-full body with a rich and sticky malt bite with touches of fresh peat; hops are modestly bitter and slightly resinous; yeast lends an old-world basement must and dried fruit quality. a bit sharp and smacking with a slight excess of alcohol for my tastes, but the body is lush and round and the carbonation full and fitting for the weight. another stellar English-style beer from Celt, and quite fresh, just arriving in state a couple of weeks ago.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted bread, cookie), lightly hoppy (herbs, flowers), lightly yeasty (dough), with a note of Meyer lemon, light note of butter. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety/watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Basically a richer version of the Golden, but while the aroma is attractive it’s pretty quiet. Wonderful balance in the mouth, neither too sweet or too dry for its size, very clean and flavorful. As enjoyable as the Golden, but the Native Storm is the clear winner among the three.
