Goldish light copper, clear, short head, lacing. Sweet ripe-fruit aroma, with spice, tart, buttery, bready cracker, maybe slight dms. I was gonna say it has a bitter aroma, but now that I think about it that is like a ruby red grapefruit likeness.Like a sweet ripe fruit with a tart/sourness note.Almost skunky and grasssy like.Fairly complex aroma having the english with it. The buttery tones may stick out more dominatly. Really nice taste, ripe fresh fruit, nice mild sweetness with a stronger bitter/hoppiness.Mild classic dyacytal english taste, spicey floral notes, pretty spicey type bittering. Some what grassy almost skunkyness.Grassy/spicey bittering linger. Very flavorfull with good character for a 5%er.

Two fingers of head, that held nicely. Opaque, dark straw colored body. Big lemon zest smell, some barnyard (wet grain) and honey too. A stubborn lemon bitterness up front... refuses to cease. A bit of malt sweetness comes through. Long finish with the bitter. Crisp and medium body. Fairly low carbonation. An enjoyable ale with a big helping of hops.

500ml bottle. Pours a clear medium amber, with a smallish off-white head, which lasts fairly well but does not leave much lacing. Floral hops, candied fruits, raisins and some biscuit malt make up a fairly pleasant aroma. Fresh floral hops introduce the beer, leading into a body of biscuit malt with a touch of toffee. Raisins and a mild muscat flavour appear at the finish. A fairly sweet English strong ale, but a nice example of the style.

Bottle. Amber brown colour with a lively head. Aroma and taste of amarillo and/or tomahawk hops. Definately US bitter hops. Also bitter citrus fruit. Long bitter and dry finish. Woow Wales!

10,8,8,7,13,8 - 8,30 - 10/7/12

Aroma is rich and nutty (classic Maris otter) with fresh hops. Malty backbone is balanced well with a generous helping of less than bold hops

TomTron (293) - Aiken, South Carolina, USA - AUG 4, 2012
Pours a hazy golden with a thin almost non-existant head. Aromas of yeast, some fruit, and earthy hops. Taste has some malt floating around, and a little bit of grapefruit, but with every sip I take away a dry, metallic finish. It’s not a bad offering but not necessarily that great either.

Pours golden, crystal clear, with a tiny head. Aroma is quite intense, mostly of honey and herbal, spicy notes. Taste is almost the same, but even more sweet. Aftertaste is surprisingly bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
