Bottle. Aroma of fruits, bread and hops. Unclear yellow colour with white head. Grapefruit and orange in the flavour which is dominated by the hops althoug it allows room for a breadlike taste from the malts.

Hazy, pale gold pour with a 2 finger, frothy, white head that has good retention and leaves decent lacing. Tree fruit, berries, bitter citrus and biscuit in the aroma. Taste starts out with lots of mineral, cereal malts, light toffee, floral (thistle flower comes to mind), herbal, and bitter citrus hops with a nice, light honey-like sweetness riding out the citrus and mineral finish. Medium body, oily, to creamy feel and moderate carbonation. Pretty good overall, nicely hoppy, while still retaining a distinctly Englishy profile.

0.5 bottle. Clear, color is neither brown nor red, not crimson quite nice though, with a big, white head which lasts a while. Aroma starts IPA-like; exotic fruits, flowers, and a lot of grapefruit a little perfume as well. Taste is quite bitter, fruity, mostly grapefruit, some sourness flickers in the background at times. Medium body, creamy texture and soft carbonation. Finish is also bitter with some sourness, basically like a grapefruit again. Overall the beer is straightforward but artful at the same time. Quite alright, could use some improvements.

From Gene’s. Although the cask version is 7.6% this being only 5.6% isn’t this just an ESB? Much bigger hops than the Bronze. Citrusy hops for a UK brew. Decent stuff, I think I preferred the bronze through. Serving: Bottle
