COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Also available bottled.
This organically crafted ale has a delightful rich bronze colour and is distinguished by a full bodied character with crystal maltiness. A lovely delicate sweetness soon develops into a long hop finish through the traditional blend of hops. Drinkers will enjoy the real traditional values of this great smooth ale. This beer is named after the Bronze Age Celts. Recent discoveries in Bavaria have shown Celtic tribes were brewing as far back as 800 BC. The name Bracis-Curmi (malted beer) traces back to the ancient Celtic language or proto-celtic, an age where Celts were some of the first beer producers in Europe.

From the stubby bottle stamped 09-09-2013. The color is a slightly cloudy light amber to golden tone. The aroma has a full malty character to it with earthy hops and a vague sweetness that is offset by a kind of aged presence. I am reviewing this past its expiration date. The body is creamy and medium. The taste tends to lean sweet with a moderate bitter character toward the end. But the sweetness lingers longer than the bitterness.

Smart & nice labeled 500ml bottle brought from L´Espumossa (Barcelona). Wine glass. Orangish amber color, veiled appearance. White froth creates a close & lasting crown that leaves a thin layer on top & some lacing on sides. Crystal malt, tangerine, ripe fruit & slight herbal aromas. Toasted & fruity upfront then slight citric & earthy bitterness arises. Medium to full body. Moderate carbonation. Funny palate. Earthy & slight resinous touches mixed with soft astringency linger into a long bitter finish. Citric aftertaste. Good job !!

500ml bottle (Drink Shop, Tallinn)
Nice grainy aroma, husky. Deep brown, persistent loose head. Full sweet malty body, pleasant husky bitterness, quite undergrowthy. Long earthy finish. Drying but in a way that leaves you wanting more. Fills out as it warms, smooth, but pleasant carbonation. Maybe a bit too earthy, but a good dark UK bitter.

500ml bottle. Dark amber color. Medium size, white head, stays. Good lacing, looks good. Floral hops, sweet, malty, faint raisins in aroma. Straws, bit of hay, malty flavor. I like it.

Aroma of mandarin, pomelo and slightly malted. Red with small head. It has an unpleasantly taste of bitter grapefruit. Sticky with a light body.

Dark bronze/copper in colour. Faint hoppy aroma. The beer starts sweet but this quickly disappears behind a significant hoppy hit. This continues for some time leaving quite a bitter aftertaste. Ok but a pint’s enough.

Rich caramel and nutty malt aromas and grassy hop aromas. Slightly hazy light amber coloured beer with a frothy white head that didn’t last long. Tastes sweet and fairly bitter. A full bodied beer with a creamy texture and soft carbonation. Great ale full of flavour.
