COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Also available bottled.
This organically crafted ale has a delightful rich bronze colour and is distinguished by a full bodied character with crystal maltiness. A lovely delicate sweetness soon develops into a long hop finish through the traditional blend of hops. Drinkers will enjoy the real traditional values of this great smooth ale. This beer is named after the Bronze Age Celts. Recent discoveries in Bavaria have shown Celtic tribes were brewing as far back as 800 BC. The name Bracis-Curmi (malted beer) traces back to the ancient Celtic language or proto-celtic, an age where Celts were some of the first beer producers in Europe.

Szép borostyán szín, illékony habbal. Illata édeskés malátás, fügés. Kellemes gyógynövényes keserűsége és finom fémes beütése van. Laza iszogatós ser. Le lehet gurítani kettőt - hármat egymás után. Egyre jobban szeretem a bittereket.

Light toffee and caramel aroma, kind of smokey oddly. Copper hued, looks watered down, which is an ominous sign. Starched sweet malt taste, light hopping. Thinner, watery body that does not fill you up. Disappointing overall

From Hinckley Asda, unbelievably. Brilliant dark copper with a high, uneven foam. Bright flowery aroma with juniper, strawberry and buttered Hovis impressions. Strawberry, black tea and shortbread character with a good balanced stew of hop. Best beer that’s turned up in an Asda for a long, long time. Except Weihenstephaner maybe.

50cl bottle, served in Shaker. Pours orange-brownish with very small white head. Both aroma and taste contain mostly caramel and licorice, leading to a soft bitter and spicy end. There’s also an herbal touch, but pretty subtle. Mouthfeel is medium, carbonation just average. Not bad and easy to drink.

500ml bottle bought at Great Food Hall in Admiralty. Clear amber colour; One and a half finger head and off-white foam which last for about 2 minutes; Nice sticky lacing with active carbonation; Aroma of grapefruit, orange, toffee, ale malt, floral, and hint of pineapple; Astringent, fairly light sweet taste of ale malt, light grapefruit, liquorices, orange, nuts, chocolates, bitter lime, and sharp grass; Medium body, oily palate; Taste profile is dominated by sharp, grassy hops throughout, quite nicely balanced by light grapefruit and orange with surprisingly strong nutty and chocolaty favours. Quite a lot is going on for a Bitter. Pretty nice! Hoppiness is strong from start to finish, but not as monotonic or plain bittering like the Celt Iron Age. Lingering and suitable astringent, spicy finish. Quite dry after taste, bitter yet quite easy to mouth.

Comments: Quite a surprise to find another Celt Ex bottle. This one is considerably better than the primitive Celt Iron Age. It has impressive head and looks, pretty good aroma and a much more exotic taste, its notable nuttiness, chocolate and spicy characters is a welcoming balance to its trademark hoppiness. Not as exciting or refreshing as Celt Silures, but an enjoyable, mid-range Celt Ex beer not to miss out.

Nice nose. Definite Toffee/Coffe type Aromas reminded me of some stouts. Light Carmel to orange color. No Lacing. Sweet on the front to a hoppier bitter finish. Palate is decent. A fair beer if you enjoy this style.

From a 500 ml brown bottle with black plastic wrapped tightly around the neck and cap. Pours copper in color, hazy with a thin and irregular white head that soon settles to an irregular ring. The aroma is full of caramel/toffee, with a background of dry grains and biscuits and a hint of fruity esters. Surprisingly exotic. The flavor is more mundane, with the malts coming to the fore, and enough hops to mostly tame the sweetness as well as adding a nice spicy note in the finish. Some herbal, fruity and nutty notes Medium-light-body with a moderate amount of carbonation and a touch of dryness in the finish. O: A distinctive and flavorful beer worth checking out.

Pours a clear orangish brown with a nice light tan head. The smell is mild caramel malt, some hop notes. Taste is as it smells with some chocolate as well ending slightly dry. The body is medium with soft carbonation. Overall a pretty tasty beer.
