This organically crafted ale has a delightful rich bronze colour and is distinguished by a full bodied character with crystal maltiness. A lovely delicate sweetness soon develops into a long hop finish through the traditional blend of hops. Drinkers will enjoy the real traditional values of this great smooth ale. This beer is named after the Bronze Age Celts. Recent discoveries in Bavaria have shown Celtic tribes were brewing as far back as 800 BC. The name Bracis-Curmi (malted beer) traces back to the ancient Celtic language or proto-celtic, an age where Celts were some of the first beer producers in Europe.

Clean sharp copper pour with a thick sandy tan head. Bready aroma, oxidized and papery with earthy/herbal notes. Light malt sweetness in the flavor and a lightly spicy character. SoOooooOoo dry. Light and bitter.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks David C. Clear copper-amber with an off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel and oxidation (cardboard). Sweetish flavor, malty, caramelly, with a big of fruitiness and a bit of cardboard, finishes bitter, a bit metallic, with light hoppiness and toast. Medium-bodied.

Copper, bronze pour. Great looking frothy head. Citrus hoppy nose. Malty. More subtle hops flavor. Not much of a finish but pretty drinkable.

Bottle. Light amber body, tall to medium head. Aroma has moderately fruity hops. Taste has mildly fruity and dry hops with some tangerine and some caramel. Generously hoppy finish. Nice but quite similar to other ales from this brewery.

Rating #989 - February 17, 2014 - 1oz sample, portfolio tasting. Clear bronze coloured pour with a frothy, thick white foam with very good retention. Smell is sweet malts, a little grainy. Taste is bold hops, malts, and a herby kind of sweetness with that crisp, bitter finish. Hoppy enough to get almost on an APA type train, but very pleasant for a bitter.

500ml bottle. Hazy orange copper body. Massive, tedious fluffy off-white head. Has a dry, grassy, earthy hoppiness. Considering this one is a few days past its expiration and made the trek across an ocean and around distribution, it has held up pretty well. On the fuller side of medium bodied. Chewy, nutty malt notes. Decent

Nice taste. Caramel and chocolate malts are joined by an assertive hoppy bitterness that lingers throughout the finish and a subtle buttery note with a tinge of grapefruit and pepper.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig, Karamell, fruchtig. Geschmack trocken fruchtig, malzig, Karamell.

Pours an unclear amber. Good sized rocky off-white head, good lace. Aroma is malty, herbal, floral. Flavor is initially sweet. Medium body. Finish is sort of herbal spicy hoppy, moderately dry. Toasty. Mild bitterness. Finish overstays its welcome. Not my thing. Better in gulps.
