COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Also available bottled.
This organically crafted ale has a delightful rich bronze colour and is distinguished by a full bodied character with crystal maltiness. A lovely delicate sweetness soon develops into a long hop finish through the traditional blend of hops. Drinkers will enjoy the real traditional values of this great smooth ale. This beer is named after the Bronze Age Celts. Recent discoveries in Bavaria have shown Celtic tribes were brewing as far back as 800 BC. The name Bracis-Curmi (malted beer) traces back to the ancient Celtic language or proto-celtic, an age where Celts were some of the first beer producers in Europe.

500mL bottle from the Lickbow. Pours a nice clear bronze with a large beige head. The aroma is nothing to whip your pants off over, rather dull actually besides some okay chrystal and caramalts. Flavour has slightly more to offer with the same tame malt characters, and a hint of a prickly bite in the finish which may be from hops, though other than that there isn’t a lot of hop activity to speak of. Palate is lightish, though not watery. Lively, effervescent. I wouldn’t get this again, but it was pleasant enough for a single purchase.

2012-02-28. Crisp amber body, small off-white head. Flavour is malty, with an English malt profile. Dry accents, notes of caramel and toasty malt, mild bitterness throughout, very light metallic note, particularly in the finish. Mild sweet malt aroma, , dry toasty malt notes similar to those in the flavour, sweet touches of caramel. Overall very typical English style ale. Simple but very quaffable and enjoyable. Average bodied palate. Nothing to get too excited about, but a very nice session brew. Bottle from LCBO, Toronto

Bottle. Bronze with good head and lacing. Mild aroma with a hint of acid or sulphur? Flavour has peppery spice, moderate malt and a weird aftertaste similar to the weird edge in the scent. Kind of a unique wood, hop, aluminum and sulphur ESB.

K, reviewing this out of a glass bowl - pintbypint can back me on this via video RB chat. i can smell the cigs pint is sucking into him decaying lungs. lets hope that that is not the cause for a shitty review on my part. Bronze brew with a huge light tan head. Pint said : Nose has light hops and toasted malts and light caramel. I’ll agree with that mainly due to the fact that this bowl can’t retain aroma to save its life. K, lapping it up llike a cat has failed as I spilt it all over the table and my pants.... I’ve said that before.. doesn’t taste all that fantastic - certainly not worthy of this high end bowl. Mild hops and mild roast make way for a mild hop thing. The fruit comes in like cotton candy then changes instantly to nothing of importance. Short lived bitterness. A mild beer that I can say I won’t get again even though it was not a bad beer.

Taste has nice malt with a bit of nut, toffee, citrus. Finishes with citrus and grass hops, light bitterness. Pleasant, good drinkability, sessionable.

500ml bottle pours a pale amber color with a finger and a half of white head that leaves some thin lacing on the glass. Aroma is flowery with some caramel malt. Taste is moderately bitter hops which are very pleasant and nicely balanced with a malty sweetness. This is quite a nice ale with a light to medium body and adequate carbonation. Very well done.
