COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Also available bottled.
Celt Dark-Age is a delicious full bodied Welsh dark beer. The beer has a special blend of coffee and chocolate flavours, which are balanced with a smooth aroma with subtle notes of caramel and dark fruit, leading to a bitter finish. This beers name comes from the Dark age. Folklore has highlighted many stories of Celtic warriors and kings that waged successful battles against the intruding Anglo-Saxons. None more than King Arthur, who legend has it, fought in 12 battles in the late 5th and early 6th century.

Tallahassee, Fl - Killearn Liquors - 500 ml WWI hand grenade shaped bottle. Pours a deep dark brown leading to black with a long lasting medium thick off-white head that clings to the edge of the glass. Aroma has a nice earthiness to it with some hints of anise seed, a touch of chocolate and coffee. Flavor is full-bodied with lots of bitter bakerís chocolate, some licorice , a touch of figs and some roasted coffee in the back end. Mouthfeel has a nice pleasant texture to it. Extremely solid and very flavorful for a 4% ABV beer.

Great bottle and label - potato masher with green gold foil lettering. Very dark, clear, with a fluffy khaki head. At first, thereís a pickled olive smell, but after it breathes, thereís a satisfying roast aroma (soy nut tones). Wow. Very smooth roast. Per the other beers Iíve had from this brewery tonight, this was very balanced for the style, and sessionable. Medium to slightly light body, no clingy coffee finish. Tell ya what, Iím a fan -- good craft beer without being a ham-handed AIPA superhero. Killearn Liquors.

500ml bottle from Oddbins London Bridge drunk at home. Very very dark brown beer with lasting dark beige rocky head. Funny there is a slightly herby edge to the choccy mild feel. The beer is good. A really good dark beer. Drunk as England won the Ashes at Durham on 12 August 2013. What an evening. Broad was amazing. Good beer too.

500 ml. bottle. Pours a pale reddish brown with a huge foamy biege head. Great lacing. Aroma of fruit, chocolate, coffee, and malt. Taste is dark fruit, roasted malt, chocolate, mild coffee, and smoke. Even though it is a bit thin and only 4%, this was highly enjoyable.
