COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Also available bottled.
A golden coloured organic ale, with a rich full-bodied texture accompanied by a unique blend of traditional and fruity hops. Drinkers of this delicious ale will experience a mouth-watering taste of citrus fruits with a slightly spicy aroma. This beer is named after the Golden Age of the Celtic people. The Celts dominated Mid-Europe before the Roman Empire stretched westwards and northward. In the Golden Age of Celtdom, the Celts waged successful wars in continental Europe, notably in around 500 BC where modern day Spain and Northern Italy were overthrown. The name Bracis-Curmi (malted beer) traces back to the ancient Celtic language or proto-celtic, an age where Celts were some of the first beer producers in Europe.

Bottle. Light hazy golden with a small white steady head, plenty of sticky webby lace. Toasty biscuit malts, honey, graham cracker, grassy and floral hops. Flavor is equally malt driven, but thankfully not too sweet or grainy. Medium bodied with a slightly spicy ginger like finish.

UPDATED: JAN 30, 2013 bottle. clear gold body with a medium-sized white head, average retention but thick lacing. pale malt honey biscuit character is strong in the nose, while the aromatic hops are pretty quiet, not that it needs it - musty english ale yeast (with a small touch of diacetyl) is mild and matched to the expressively snappy cracker-snap pale malt, and a mild green rawness and earthiness of noble hops grows as it opens. crisp, smacking texture; medium body; medium-light bitterness; lightly sweet; frothy, round, chewy carbonation. rustic and slightly musty, delicious, quaffable, very old-world, and just clean enough. this and the Native Storm are so surprisingly hearty for being so light. re-rate: BBD 30-09-2013: pungent, musty, nectar-y, fruity, very juicy, musty, sweet approach drying finish... 3.7-->4.0

Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy/fizzy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy dark yellow. Aroma is moderately malty (toasted grain, cracker, cookie), lightly to moderately hoppy (old flowers and apricot/marmalade), with light notes of butter and lemon zest. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. I must admit the aroma is quite pleasant despite a little diacetyl, which due to the rich biscuit/cookie-like malt makes it smell like fresh buttered pastries. Typical UK-style hop odor (slightly staled in that homey, comforting way). Crisp and balanced and flavorful (for its diminutive size) in the mouth, clean and easy to quaff. Even though it certainly has room for improvements, I think what I admire most is that it’s not clunky or husky...it plays things clean and conservative and traditional.

bottle. Poured clear amber with a skim white head. Fruity hop aroma. Initially buttery on the lips, smooth carbonation, tart finish. Malty flavour, caramel and a sweet fruity citrus note, medium dry-astringent finish.

Golden yellow with small white foam head lacing to glass. Aroma is weak, but that could be my problem cuurently, in any case a great bitter hop taste. Long lasting dry bitter aftertaste. A good beer indeed. (Velp 201208)

Gethinbeer (2114) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - JUL 30, 2012
Golden with medium carbination allowing a thin white head. Citrus fruit aroma. Sweet honey flavour. Smooth texture. Weak body with a tangy hint. Not sure about a crisp golden ale, more like a Welsh or celtic honey ale.

10,8,7,7,13,7 - 7,75 - 10/7/12
