Cask at NERAX. Slightly hazy golden with a lasting bubbly head. Lovely malt nose - grass, straw, hay, with soft floral hops also. Slightly soapy but lovely distinctive perfumed hops and a good hay-like malt backbone. Medium smooth body and a nice lingering lightly bitter berry aftertaste. Very nice example of the style.

Copper/orange. Nice fruity nose hint of orange zest. Malty taste with a decent finish. Not bad but not really my favorite.

Rating #988 - February 17, 2014 - 1oz sample - portfolio tasting from Global. My first Welsh beer. Clear golden pour, hint of copper colour, weak white foam that bubbles away slowly to a soapy ring. Aroma is earthy malts, hints of caramel, lemon. Taste is a mild sweetness, honey, citrus followed by a mild hop bite. Very nice.

"Golden amber appearance with a big bubbly off-white head and some carbonation. Good lacing. Very nice mix of malts and hops. Not too bitter. Some citrus flavours abound, along with ginger and a hint of sweetness. Mouthfeel is smooth and quite pleasant. Enjoyable and not strong on the palate."

500ml bottle. Opened two weeks after the best by date, solid for $2.49 a bottle. Hazy orange-yellow body. Foamy white heat laces up the glass. Kind of an odd aroma, some buttery tones I’m not really enjoying. Medium bodied, somewhat similar to a Session IPA with the grapefruit hops. There is some fishy rancid action going on unfortunately. I hope the other Celt beers are better than this, and that this is better fresh.
