COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Also available bottled.
A golden coloured organic ale, with a rich full-bodied texture accompanied by a unique blend of traditional and fruity hops. Drinkers of this delicious ale will experience a mouth-watering taste of citrus fruits with a slightly spicy aroma. This beer is named after the Golden Age of the Celtic people. The Celts dominated Mid-Europe before the Roman Empire stretched westwards and northward. In the Golden Age of Celtdom, the Celts waged successful wars in continental Europe, notably in around 500 BC where modern day Spain and Northern Italy were overthrown. The name Bracis-Curmi (malted beer) traces back to the ancient Celtic language or proto-celtic, an age where Celts were some of the first beer producers in Europe.

3fourths (6948) - Straßgiech, Bavaria, GERMANY - SEP 1, 2012
UPDATED: JAN 30, 2013 bottle. clear gold body with a medium-sized white head, average retention but thick lacing. pale malt honey biscuit character is strong in the nose, while the aromatic hops are pretty quiet, not that it needs it - musty english ale yeast (with a small touch of diacetyl) is mild and matched to the expressively snappy cracker-snap pale malt, and a mild green rawness and earthiness of noble hops grows as it opens. crisp, smacking texture; medium body; medium-light bitterness; lightly sweet; frothy, round, chewy carbonation. rustic and slightly musty, delicious, quaffable, very old-world, and just clean enough. this and the Native Storm are so surprisingly hearty for being so light. re-rate: BBD 30-09-2013: pungent, musty, nectar-y, fruity, very juicy, musty, sweet approach drying finish... 3.7-->4.0

Golden yellow with small white foam head lacing to glass. Aroma is weak, but that could be my problem cuurently, in any case a great bitter hop taste. Long lasting dry bitter aftertaste. A good beer indeed. (Velp 201208)

500ml bottle. Pours quite a dark gold for a bland ale, with a medium white head, acceptable retention and excellent lace. Floral notes underly a very malty nose, with honey and caramel being most prominent. Flowery, fruity hops to begin, with biscuit notes in the middle and a nutty, almost baklava-like finish. A delicate and pleasant session ale.

Pours clear amber/golden with average tight head. Aroma is a nice balance of fruity and floral hops with a bready/cereal balance. Slightest touch of toffee. Taste is actually pretty impressive - not overly intense, but this is proof beer can be subtle, low alcohol, yet flavourful. It’s got fairly sweet but clean malty start, before a remarkably fruity hop presence kicks in. Almost like strawberry. Then a lingering gentle bitter finish. Nice balance, nice progression through each sip, drinkable. Not overcarbonated.

Tap. This is actually really rather ace. I had no expectations coming in. Very fruity - almost comical, but never over the top. Body is just right to get a few in and it has a charm that can be difficult to find in beers of similar ilk at this ABV. Nice one!

I tried this beer on June 9, 2011 after purchasing from the Queen’s Quay LCBO outlet in Toronto, Ontario. The beer poured a slightly hazy golden red colour with a thin creamy off-white head. The aroma is bready malt, a hint of yeast, and citrusy hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour is nicely balanced between the malty sweetness and the bitter hoppy finish. Very enjoyable.

500mL bottle from the Lickbow that took far too long to reach KW. Pours a nice gold with a large white fluffy head. Aroma is of citrusy hops, and decent malt backbone. Flavour is better, with some burnt caramel upfront, pale malt, citrus hops, all really well constructed, finished somewhat bitter with earthy character. Some minor crispy biscuit character, if that makes any sense. It’s a little tangy and subtly spicy. Body is fairly medium, though it’s thicker and more satisfying than a lot of other examples of this style. Doesn’t seem very stale to me which is good because I get staleness in a lot of imported British ales and it tends to ruin the experience. The only thing that bugs me is some weird burnt plastic aspect that sometimes emerges in the aftertaste, thankfully it’s mild and not always there. Very refreshing after a day of biking around town.

500ml bottle puts a hazed amber ale in the glass. Fine pored creamy cap laces well. Soft carbonation. Aroma as described; citrusy-spicy-fruity dulcet malt tones...very demure but elegant aroma. Bit of cara=malt detected in front then a rush of fruity esters and earthy bittering that intensifies to the finish. Clean, Elegant, fruity and nicely bittered. This is what all mild ESBs should taste like.

Pours a slightly hazy golden colour with an amber hue. Beautiful creamy big off-white head that stays a long time and results in great foamy lacing. Great sweet malty nose that gives out fruitiness well-balanced with some hoppy notes and honey. The taste is not as hoppy as the aromas give out to be. Grainy bread, malty with a little honey and just enough hop to create a little bitterness and grass in the finish. Good creamy mouthfeel that eventually becomes a bit more oily and watery. A pretty damn good session brew.

A very nice floral bitterness with some sweetness and well rounded. A full creamy mouthfeel. Amber in color with a white head.
