3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark amber, slightly cloudy, with a small but sticky white head. Medium body. Aroma of malt and grass. Some malt in the flavour too, but this is quickly overtaken by hoppy bitterness which then lasts and lasts. Interesting, but I’d prefer the sweet malt middle to last a little longer before the onslaught of hops.

Bottle from Glug, Newcastle. Bright amber coloured with an initial orange blossom, pine and citrus flavour followed by nutty, oak, more pine and burnt toffee on the finish.

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask at The Moon Under Water (JDW), Watford on 31 Jul 2012. Poured a clear amber, with a dense off white head. Aroma was quite light, with some grassy hop, caramel and mild sulphur. Flavours were better; some peppery hop, citrus and biscuity malt. Finish was hay, peal and toasted malt.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
A mid orange red coloured beer with a weak off-white head. An odd strawberry jam aroma, with a background of grassy hops and light caramel. A light and dry mouthfeel. A light, medium-dry malty flavour, there is remnants of the strawberry jam element from the aroma, but this is soon overtaken by a light caramel flavour. This is then followed by a mild bitter hop flavour, that adds a grassy, woody taste. The finish is bitter and hoppy.
Tasted at JDW The Limes, Fakenham.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask at Square Peg, Birmingham. Lacing with a brushed grey carpet. Except white. Really bitter - splendidly salty, peppery, crushed acorn hardness. The prickles of Lindor are brief and plea singing. What a good example of a genuine Bitter.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On cask at Reginald Mitchell (JDW), Hanley. Pours red brown with light head. Quite a dry smoky peat end to this and the hops try and fight through. Unusual but decent.
