A storm arisen through Native Wales’...16 September 1400: Owain Glyn Dwr led the greatest armed uprising against English rule in Wales, one that would last for over fifteen years and which for a few brief shining moments would produce a united independent Wales ruled by its own prince and parliament. Though eventually suppressed by the English, the reverberations of this revolt are still heard in Wales today.
Characterised as a robust mid brown ale full of spicy and biscuit flavours, ’Native Storm’ has a refreshing mouthfeel complemented by a powerful presense of fresh hoppy aromas. The complex range of ingredients coupled with a long dry hop finish result in a delicious and moreish Welsh ale.’

Clear copper beer with a thick creamy head. Spicy aroma. Initial taste seems overly sweet but it settles and is fruity and spicy. Has a bitter dry finish.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks David C. Clear copper with a white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, oxidation, some candies and a bit of peat. Sweetish flavor with malt, a bit of caramel, a biscuity note, a faint fruitiness, some nice interesting peat smokiness and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Not bad.

50 cl bottle, 4.4%, 2.70€. Copper color with a compact white head. Inviting bitter/hoppy nose. Aroma of roasted malts, burnt wood, dark biscuits, a citric fruity overtone and a smash of bitter hops. And all this for just 4.4 abv. Intensely bitter dry finish with orange peel aftertaste. Medium bodied, average carbonation. Excellent bitter.

Bottle. Bronze body, tall steady head. Aroma has jammy and caramelly hops. Taste has intense hoppiness, which seems to be the house style of this brewery. Finish has more dry and caramelly hops and something ferric. This ale is too dry/resinous to be refreshing - its dryness leaves me more thirsty than I was when I started.
