COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Also available bottled.
A golden coloured organic ale, with a rich full-bodied texture accompanied by a unique blend of traditional and fruity hops. Drinkers of this delicious ale will experience a mouth-watering taste of citrus fruits with a slightly spicy aroma. This beer is named after the Golden Age of the Celtic people. The Celts dominated Mid-Europe before the Roman Empire stretched westwards and northward. In the Golden Age of Celtdom, the Celts waged successful wars in continental Europe, notably in around 500 BC where modern day Spain and Northern Italy were overthrown. The name Bracis-Curmi (malted beer) traces back to the ancient Celtic language or proto-celtic, an age where Celts were some of the first beer producers in Europe.

Finally, a Welsh rate. RateBeer has been discretely badgering me about it for years - it’s the easiest country to nail that you haven’t rated, the stats say. Damn it, RateBeer, I’m trying, honest! Welsh beer seems to travel to Australia about as rarely as the rugby team these days. Shame. My low expectations for this ale, stumbled on in a pretty run-of-the-mill country bottlo, were pleasantly surpassed. Gold with a chill haze and a loose, shallow head. Fresh, malt-dominated aroma. Lemon, honey and 3am rolls. Palate seems mildly underdone - verging on flat. May be the bottle age or an attempt to mimic cask conditioning? Bread, bread, bread on the tongue. May be the breadiest ale I’ve come across. No complaints here. Bit herbal, bit floral. Overall, one of the best bottled ales I’ve had from the UK, with none of that nasty pasteurised lolly taint. Nice work. (500ml bottle from D’Vine Cellars, Wentworth Falls. BB 4/11/13)

The appearance has a hazy orangeish golden color with a small white head that fades quickly to a ring. The aroma blends earthy hops with light malts, and the taste is slightly bitter, mildly sour, and a touch umami; the mouthfeel fuses a slick texture, medium body, soft carbonation, and a bitter finish with an earthy hop flavor.

Bottle from Morrisons Connahs Quay. Pours a clear gold/amber colour with a thin white head. Aroma is orange zesty and citrussy hops. Taste is hoppy and slightly dry with a grassy pine backbone. Decent enough beer, not a world beater, but still decent enough!

Cerveza rubia, de muy buen sabor. Deja un regusto fuerte a diferentes maltas y aromas. En cierta manera me recordo a la BrewDog Punk IPA. La encontrareis disponible en el Coleccionista, en Gijón, Asturias.

Bottle. Pours a hazy a gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of earthy grains with a nice grass note and a hint of light fruits. Flavor has more of a sweet grain and earthy grain with a growing grass note through the finish.

Review according to BJCP2008 guidelines (style 6B). Bottle 500ml - batch n ?). AROMA: low malt aroma with a nice, intense floral and fruits (passion fruit) aroma. APPEARANCE: médium gold color. a bit hazy. white head with fair retention. TASTE: very slight malt flavour with the presence of esters and floral flavours. high bitterness for a golden/blond ale that lingers towards the end. balance towards hop bitterness. finishes dry. PALATE: medium-light body with high carbonation. OVERALL: a very bitter blond ale that resembles more an IPA.
