2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 greglikesbeer (33) - Ancaster, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 8, 2012
Pours clear and brown with a thin white head. Aroma is faint with malts and resin hop notes. Taste is slightly malty and quite bitter. Finish is bitter and abrupt. A bit uninspired.

It pours bright mahogany (like iced tea), with peach highlights; the head is off-white and frothy. The aroma has notes of: peach, toffee, sweet-malts, and a touch of coriander. The taste is medium sweet that finished bready; there are notes of: coffee, toffee, peaches, grapefruit, and honeydew-melon. The palate is light bodied, quite aqueous, medium-light carbonation. Overall, interesting flavours, but very watery – could really benefit from a big booty.

a robust mid brown ale full of spicy and biscuit flavours, ’Native Storm’ has a refreshing mouthfeel complemented by a powerful presense of fresh hoppy aromas

Pours a manuka honey colour with a thin white cap, looks sexy. The aroma is light, bready, malty, biscuity, nutty, with a bit of floral hops, well done and delicious. The flavour is very english malt style if that makes sense to anyone but me. . . .huge on the bready biscuity notes, nutty, with a hint of caramel sweetness, a touch of floral hops show up near the end for a bit of balance. All and all a well crafted beer, it’s nothing mind blowing, but it does what it does and it does it well.

500ml bottle
4.4% ABV
I tried this beer on March 23, 2012 after purchasing at the Queen’s Quay LCBO outlet in Toronto, Ontario. The beer poured a translucent copper colour with a thin white head. The aroma was sweet malt, floral hops, and nuts. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was nutty, wooden, with hints of caramel.

Une bière de buvabilité morbide...IMPÉRIALE! Elle me fait tirer la langue pour mieux descendre mon oesophage, vilaine. Aucune saveur autre que de legers céréales doublé d’un arrière-goût florale cartonné.

Bottle [500ml]. Pours a clear orange-copper with a small diminishing bubbly off-white head. Aroma of bready malt, UK hops, toffee and some light spices. Decent amount of UK hops in the flavour, more then I expected, along with bready malt, light spices and a light, dry bitter finish. Average bodies. Not bad at all, nothing great but I easily drank it.
