Ogham Oak Exotic Tripel – 8.5%
35 IBUs – Belgium Yeast, Orange Peel and Cinnamon
Oak is a cosmic storehouse of wisdom embodied within its towering strength. The oak tree endures what others cannot.
Each batch is brewed with fresh ‘tripel’ yeast borrowed from a secret location in Flanders. The beer has a complex flavour combining resinous bite from the American hops, spicy esters from the belgium yeast and fruit and cinnomon twists from the belgium fruits and spices. All finished with supreme British malt and candy sugar…

Bottle from Systembolaget. Very spicy smell with plastic and band aid. The smell is rough with way too much cinnamon. No this is very hard to drink. The only positive is the malt base and that the mouthfeel is decent.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Hazy pale amber, rich head. Perfumy marmelade, cinnamon and pine needles. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Tangerine and pine. Resiny finish with some alcohol. American style sweet tripel with heavy hop bitterness. Strange spices, lack of balance. Quite rough.

Gravity cask at Bree Louise. Totally clear and still, pale amber orange, small ring of white head. Aroma is honey, cough syrup, Cherry B. Body is medium, slightly foamy, soft carbonation. Taste is sweet honey, some medicinal lime, twiggy, alcohol showing up. Alright, pretty drinkable at 8.5%.

Bottle at home from ales by mail
clear burnished gold with higher alcohols and fruity peardrop esters, full bodied, gentle carbonation, dry very Belgian yeast profile but otherwise quite one dimensional...disappointing.
