Bottled (6.5%). Hazy amber, brief head. Dusty nose. Citric and fruity. Dry with clean mouthfeel and light body. Primitive malt character, followed by lemony acidity. Low bitterness.

(330ml bottle, best by 1-31-07) Big beige head atop a cloudy amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, herbal, yeasty, light mint. Taste is moderately sweet, herbal, yeasty, orange, some peach, melon. Light-medium body, quite drinkable. Other than the sweetness being a bit too much, this is quite enjoyable.

from le Village à Bière, Strasbourg - hmmm, great! this stupid beer is foaming like hell, leaving just about 1 dl left for drinking; pours a hazy unclean amber-red colour without foam; aroma of chestnut, slightly woody; medium-bodied and sweet; slightly sour before a chestnutty finish - not bad

Bottle labled a ’Celtic Amber Ale’. Poured a medium and cloudy amber color with a large sized off white head. Aromas of light caramel, some yeast, fruits, and light cherries. Tastes of caramel, a little fruity and light yeast. On the sweet side.

Bottle sampled on 8/16/06: Pours a clear copper amber with a well-lacing, big off-white head. Aroma of dry biscuity malt and mild tart cherries. Body starts with a touch of caramel sweetness turning more tart and fruity toward a drier finish. Fairly well-balanced and drinkable.

Orange-foxy beer with good amberish tinted dense head. Gassy, brown sugar and a bit leafy; orange/orangepeel, nuts and sugared fruit. Again something (wal)nutty, oranges and roasted malts in the taste, bit aggressive. This strange grassy smell mixes into the flavour as well. Human sweat, cabbage. I’m not really enjoying this. Rather well bodied, slick, but also astringent. Surprisingly carbonated, as the crown cork had not quite survived the voyage Brussel-Ursel, slightly leaking foam. Ouch. Not my cuppa - how does one say ’tea’ in Breton parlé?

bottle. Cloudy amber colour, large and persistent head. Fruity and slightly sour aroma. Yeasty with an intensive fruity sourness, slightly malty and quite hoppy in the lingering finish.
