Bottled. Cloudy golden, average head. Lemony nose. Sweet, yet with some tart freshening acidity. Evident wheat malt character and some herbal spices. Pleasant soft mouthfeel. Perhaps a bit fruity and unclean.

Apple, cinnamon, and raisin bouquet. Dingy and cloudy golden pour with a medium head, good lacing. Dreadful medicny prune taste, but not as strong as I’ve had from purely belgian styles. Finish is green beans. Perhaps the French should stick with wine.

large, but quickly disappearing head. Flavour is yeasty, fruity and slightly sour, reminds me of grapefruit. Also slightly bitter.

Dezzilu (226) - Whitmore Lake, Michigan, USA - MAR 30, 2007
Pale golden color, with massive foamy head. The smell is a bit strange, with sour lemons and sour other citrus fruit. The taste also was a bit strange, like a bad lemon spoiled the bunch. The finish was bitter, but not in an ale sort of way: more of a overly ripe fruit sort of way. I was really disappointed in this beer, and would rather have drank 1664.

CaptainCougar (6749) - Boz Scaggsville, Maryland, USA - MAR 17, 2007
Bottle sampled on 8/16/06: Pours a hazy golden with a big, well-lacing frothy white head. Aroma has a nice sweet biscuity maltiness and a touch of coriander pepper spice. Body starts with a full, semi-sweet and earthy pale maltiness with some doughy biscuit and mild coriander toward a smooth, balanced finish.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2007 No the best wheat beer I have ever had. Pours cloudy with a lot of head. Nice flavor, can taste the citrus, not the best finish.
