3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Location: Capital Ale - Innsbrook, 5/1/14
Aroma: The nose is tropical (mango/peach) hops, some pine/resin, and a little caramel
Appearance: It pours a hazy amber-orange color with an off-white head and average lace
Flavor: The taste is fruity mostly, a little sweet, with a nice, juicy/pine hop bitterness
Palate: Medium bodied, with average carbonation, it is a hint sticky, and has a clean, dry finish
I thought this was a pretty tasty one for sure. Came in as my favorite of the three new to me local beers I tried last night. It’s crazy, the Richmond craft scene has so much new stuff since I was last down here like 18 months ago.
