750ml bottle from the LCBO. pours deep red with a tan head. flabby crystal malt nose with some old tired hops. the flavour is sweet initially, then there is some astrigent roasted grain and crushing bitterness. not properly mashed or cleanly fermented. id love an ontario brewery to make a year round imperial red but this was really dissapointing.

Wow, Pours deep red, almost dark-amber with decent foamed head lacing the glass. Aroma is faint of subtle hops and caramel. Taste is bitter yet smooth, hides the alcohol well. Kind of a bready taste.

Super dark red pour, huge fluffy, sticky off white head.
Lovely citrus aroma, big notes of pine, and some sticky chewy malts. The hops are pungent, and sticky, and quite bitter. the mouthfeel is sticky, and thick, the carbonation is a little low and soft. the finish is highly bitter, big notes of grassy, citrucy hops. The malts are thick with caramel, and bread. A big hoppy red ale, nice stuff.

Bang on imperial red. Hoppy aroma, and those hops are tasty, fruity. Above average mouthfeel, reddish colour, lasting head. Good drinkability.

750 mL bottle from LCBO served cold in a tulip glass. Hazy deep copper with a small tan head. Strong toffee and sweet crunchy malts, peppery hops, pine/resin, pungent. Medium-full body with relaxed difference. String, sweet toffee and treacle, peppery, resinous hops, deep fruitiness, quite dank; off dry with bitterness that builds and becomes unbearable, pine, pepper, resin, fruitiness. Too aggressive, angry bitterness.

750 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a clear chestnut brown with small off-white head. Aroma is rich fruity, caramelly malt, some spiciness and citrusy/piney hops. Flavour is big, rich malt with some tree and dark fruits and really big citric, resiny and spicy hops. Fairly big bitterness in finish. Quite a big body. Fine carbonation. Big, complex beer.

Nice fresh hoppy/ richmalty aroma, a nice mix. Sweet malt, tropical and citrus fruit in the aroma. Looks beautiful, dark ruby color with very long lasting off white creamy head. Well balanced taste, piney and citrusy hops throughout, finishes with a bit of biscuit and sweetness. Alcohol very well hidden, creamy body. Above average carbonation.

En fût au Beer Brothers à Ottawa. 9.5%.

On tap @ Brothers Beer Bistro, Ottawa. Deep red-orange, with big ruby grapefruit on the nose. Hugely flavourful, lots of ruby grapefruit, some guava, lovely supporting malts that are JUST sweet enough without becoming cloying. Long bitter end. This beer is big, but remains incredibly drinkable, bright, and balanced. Superb.
