3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Poured a deep hazy amber/orangey color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of citrus hops with quite of bit of residual sugars. Taste is also a good mix between some citrus hops with light piney notes and some residual sugars with a solid malt backbone and some toffee notes. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Nice hops-heavy IIPA thought a bit too much residual sugar in the background for my taste.

4.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber bottle. Pours a slightly hazy reddish amber with a thin but frothy white head. Hoppy aroma, notes of citrus. Taste is quite hoppy, notes of citrus, but warms to a toffee like maltiness. Warming mouthfeel. The citrus intensifies as it warms. Finish: grassy with a slight mild malt sweetness. This is a most excellent beer, one of the best examples of an IIPA, absolutely beautiful.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from the LCBO - "Imperial IPA for Autism" edition. Clear dark orange-amber with an ample white head. Aroma and flavour are both quite sweet off the top, lots of orange blossom and caramel. Mild hop bitterness on the nose, slightly more in the flavour, with grapefruit and tangerine both coming through - but honestly, not as much of a big hop kick as I hope for from an Imperial. Body is on the bigger side of medium, with some stickiness on the palate. Maybe it’s not fresh enough, but for me, this seemed more like a slightly hoppier than usual barley wine rather than an IIPA. Still an enjoyable beer, just not quite what I expected.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, beer for autism version. Pours dark amber, aroma was a sprucy and flavour was a nice bitterness, heavy on the malts, but overall pretty tasty.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
650 mL bomber. Pours dark amber with a stable off white head and soapy lacing. Aromas of deep caramel malt, candied orange, a touch of licorice and herbaceous resin. Thick on the mouth and full bodied with low to medium carbonation and a sticky mouth feel. A well balanced and delicious IIPA.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a clear orange-golden color with a stubborn bone colored head. grapefruit, tangerine, and cream on the perfumy nose. Slick, wet mouthfeel. Some spruce in the flavor, but the maltiness cuts into what, otherwise, would be a fresher flavor. The sweetness of the malt dulls the vibrancy of the hop expression. Either that, or it’s and older DIPA. The longer it sits, the more it blends to create a tangerine flavor. There’s some detectable alcohol at the finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Took a few sips to warm up to this but after that it was great. Amber-orange colour with just slight hoppy aroma. Taste is strong and syrupy with earthy notes and strong bitter aftertaste. In limited IIPA for Autism bottle.

2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, thanks Colin . Dark golden orange, very small thick head . Disappointing aroma - tea and toast, like so many old English style Ontario pale ales . Taste is a bit better - sharp citrus hops . But all over stale malt . I love getting BC beers here , but not if they have to sit Ina warehouse and go stale . LCBO process may not be appropriate for craft BC beers .
