COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mosaic hops lend to this light and fruity ale with a good bitterness and malt balance, coupled with refreshing hop aromatics. This session ale is bit on flavour and light in alcohol.

Canada pale ale malt, Munich malt, Caravienne malt, Mosaic hops; ABV 4%; IBU 40; SRM 8

On February 4th, 2014 we launched our new ISA – India Session Ale at a “mystery beer” launch event. The event was held at Darby’s Pub in Vancouver and featured an expert panel consisting of Certified Cicerone and Beer Educator Chester Cary, author of Craft Beer Revolution Joe Wiebe, and Dustan Sept of Norco Bicycles & BeerMeBC.com. Along with a room full of Central City fans the lads blind tasted the latest Red Racer release. To find out what they thought check out the video on our brand new RedRacerBeer.com!

Editor’s note: Alcohol on the cans says 4%, but reports from the brewpub tend to have a lower number.

Pours light amber, little head. Smell is apricot, tangerine, cut grass. Taste is a peculiar blend of hops mixed with malt sweetness. Too sweet. Floral, herbal taste. Bit too medicinal of a taste for me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

It's rare that I disagree with my buddy Freaky_Tiki but I do here, at least somewhat. Nose was the surprise, with some delicious Five Alive hops - tangy tropical fruit and orange on a bed of light, fruity malts. It's got a little club soda sure, but it's pretty flavourful for this (already tired) style. I will say.....I used to love the regular Red Racer IPA, and now find it far less palatable, so I'm not sure what to expect the next time I try this stuff. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355ml can. Pours a light straw, copper color. Nice one finger white head, good lacing. Aroma is bright citrus hops, lots of fruit. Very pretty amarillo hop character. Palate is bright, nice crisp carbonation. Very nice beer.

Can to mouth Consummation: Pleasant spruce and grapefruit. Okay, but I’d rather drink less with fuller flavour. Adjunct: Grassy, thin, short aftertaste

473ml can into English pint. Pours clear golden with light pillowy white head. Nose of tropical fruit, predominantly grapefruit; some pine notes. Light and crisp with plenty of bitterness. Hope it stays in town long enough for patio season.

Appearance: Dark brass, bruised peach with but an infant’s whorl of foam. Aroma: To paraphrase the White Rhino, an ambrosiac fruit cup! Grapefruit of a ripe, old age tussles with pineapple in full festive spirits. Dark sugar malts in the background embrace the playful cornucopia. Taste: Grainy malts gird and tame a grapefruit rind hop sphere whose density is further held by resin and pine flavours. This is saplings dreaming of undisturbed photosynthesis. The slight tinge of metal is only the myth of lumberjack saws. Palate: Faint carbonation staccato fingers tickle the back of the throat. Overall: An infant god’s Eden. Not entirely complex in its delectable fruit creation, especially with the restriction of pineapple to spirit, yet never degrading into a savage hop tear across the palate. In short, rumbles of prelapsarian pleasure pervade this ISA.

Can from sobeys. Amber color with a foamy head. Date stamp on bottom of can says April 2015 for production. Aromas of mild pine and citrus. Taste is very mild. Some pine and some fruitiness. Not bad.
