COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dry hopped with whole leaf hops from the Yakima Valley, combined with Maris Otter English barley, which is floor-malted in age old tradition. A long maturation ensures plenty of flavour, with strong aromatics of grapefruit, tangerine and mango.

Bottle sample at a tasting. Thanks Ori. Clear amber with a big head. Smell of stale green hops and caramel. Sweet, fruity and quite malty, boozy with strong bitterness. Medium bodied, syrupy. Too old and heavy for me.

650ml bottle shared with Jo and Seb. Thanks Peter. Aroma: piney, citrus, grapefruits, caramel, malty. App: clear copper with small tan head. Some lacing. Taste and palate: medium body, medium sweetness, light sweet and bitter finish. Overall: a great double IPA. Sweet but not too sweet for a IIPA. Enjoyed it.

Bottle. Pours a deep gold with a high, fine-grained, incredibly lacy off-white head. Nose is grapefruit, fresh bread, funk, light floral notes, a touch of smoke, and a little catbox. Hops bitterness and juicy grapefruit up front, with a creamy, substantial texture; great flavor, with some spiciness and crisp biscuit following. Really tasty, and has a lot of layers opening as it moves across the palate. Finish is astringent, refreshing, and clean. Nicely done.

This one has a more subtle hoppy aroma than the regular IPA. It is pleasant and fruity. The pour is a nice clear amber colour that produces a small head with mixed fine and large bubbles. Lots of lacing. Taste is of hops, citrus and caramel. I did notice the mango flavouring; nice. This beer has a substantial mouth feel for an IPA; very enjoyable. There is the usual slightly bitter aftertaste along with the hop and caramel notes. I like a hopped up IPA and this is by far the best I’ve had yet!

New Beer Distributors, NYC 650ml ($7.50): pours red with a whitish head. Aroma is pine, caramel, and fruitiness. Taste is more on the sweet and malty side than it is on the bitter side. That said there is a sustained bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. Not bad.
