3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
650ml bottle. "Imperial IPA for Autism" edition. Pours a murky, copper/orange with a half finger, off-white head that thins to a small film quickly. Aroma is noticeable. Big notes of tropical fruits, bready malts, and a solid amount of resin.Taste is a solid bitter with a resiny, piney, slightly bready aftertaste.Medium body with a low-medium carbonation.Slick mouth feel. Resiny.Overall not bad. Probably could have been a fresher bottle but still good. Great aroma but a bit too slick and resiny on the texture for me. Would get again for sure to retry.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: JUN 20, 2015 Very malt forward IPA with a significant caramel character. Hops were faded and piney. I think that I may have an old bottle, note to rerate when I get a known fresh bottle. My bottle clearly says the ABV is 6.5% Not an imperial by a longshot--feedback sent

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle sample at a tasting. Thanks Ori. Clear amber with a big head. Smell of stale green hops and caramel. Sweet, fruity and quite malty, boozy with strong bitterness. Medium bodied, syrupy. Too old and heavy for me.

650ml bottle shared with Jo and Seb. Thanks Peter. Aroma: piney, citrus, grapefruits, caramel, malty. App: clear copper with small tan head. Some lacing. Taste and palate: medium body, medium sweetness, light sweet and bitter finish. Overall: a great double IPA. Sweet but not too sweet for a IIPA. Enjoyed it.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours a deep gold with a high, fine-grained, incredibly lacy off-white head. Nose is grapefruit, fresh bread, funk, light floral notes, a touch of smoke, and a little catbox. Hops bitterness and juicy grapefruit up front, with a creamy, substantial texture; great flavor, with some spiciness and crisp biscuit following. Really tasty, and has a lot of layers opening as it moves across the palate. Finish is astringent, refreshing, and clean. Nicely done.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
This one has a more subtle hoppy aroma than the regular IPA. It is pleasant and fruity. The pour is a nice clear amber colour that produces a small head with mixed fine and large bubbles. Lots of lacing. Taste is of hops, citrus and caramel. I did notice the mango flavouring; nice. This beer has a substantial mouth feel for an IPA; very enjoyable. There is the usual slightly bitter aftertaste along with the hop and caramel notes.
I like a hopped up IPA and this is by far the best I’ve had yet!
