COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An ale fashioned to survive the long voyage from England to India during the British colonization. Hops, hops, and more hops, this ale has an intense aroma and a long lingering finish. Drink as an appetizer on its own, or pair it with any hearty dish. A beer for the connoisseur, this is the Brewmaster’s choice. "Cheers!"

Thanks Derek. Pours golden with some lasting white head. Average mouthfeel, smooth though with slightly acidic finish. Good IPA for sure, right there with other representations of style, but would not say exceeds it. Could have a six-pack of this in a weekend.Aroma may be impacted by being in the can.

Light amber golden color, grapefruity, piney nose. Hops are very well defined. Big hop start, lacking a bit of backbone with just a touch of caramel. Lingering bitter citrusy finish with a touch of caramel. Fairly good, but not balanced enough for my liking.

Can. Thanks Stefan the craftbrewer! Pours clear orange copper coloured with a nice lacing egg white head. Fresh aroma with notes of spearmint, pine and rich maltyness. Flavours of grass, citrus fruit, malt and mild resin. Not bad at all.

Can. Smells of citrus. Clear and bronze colored beer. Thin head does not last. This is one tasty beer. Definite grapefruit taste with a crisp, bitter finish. Mild sweetness.

I’ve had this one on tap and in can. I’m not a fan of can but this one is not bad, definitely not bland, better draft, but satisfies this man. Pours amber orange into tulip with busty white head and fine lacing. Grapefruit predominates on the nose and in flavor, with honey sweetness, orange zest and pine in the backbone. Finish is bitter but smooth due to the resinous mouthfeel of this beer. I’m thoroughly impressed with this one for a BC IPA. Beats the wimpy resin out of steamworks’ entry in this category and looking forward to comparing it with Central City’s Imperial which staff say will be ready soon. Also want to compare it with the IPA from Dix before ranking it in my top three BC IPAs. Enjoy!

Can. Ranks with Tree Hophead! Big juicy resinous hop aroma. Bubbles seem a little thin on dark amber. Big citrus and spruce/pin flavour. Balance is tilted towards hops rather than malt. Could call it a IIPA. Possibly one of Canada’s best IPAs.

Draft at the brewpub. Certainly has a lot of hops but is so well balanced that many different flavours emerge throughout. Others are right in that it does end dry, but there is so much citrus/fruit flavour that it all works well together.

Draft at at the brewpub. Poured a clear gold color. The head was white and left some lace behind on the glass. Smelled of distinct mango, orange, and sweaty hops. Medium bodied and delicately sweet with mild to moderate bitterness. Pleasant hop forward flavors that included the likes orange and sweat. The malt bill was relatively light, but some caramel and graham cracker emerged at the end. Well done IPA.

33cl can. Thanks Stefan. Pours a clear copper with a small creamy white head. Nose is sweet of malts and hops. Buiscuit malty and fruity and floral hops. Palate is sticky and smooth. Ends dry with a somewhat undefinable hay and vegetable feel. A bit less sweetness would have been nice.

Can from Brewery Creek, Van B.C. I have no bias against good beers in cans. This one is no exception. Very fresh, floral hop nose. Pours a clear copper with subtle lacing. Nice hop, malt balance with a lingering sharp hop finish. Very good beer and a welcome addition to the lower mainland IPA offerings. Can also notes that it won "Best beer in BC 08/09 - Camra Vancouver". I’m wondering if that was for a cask version and I also wonder how this canned version holds up to that. Regardless, easily up there with the best IPA’s made in B.C.
