2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing.
Body is medium amber.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (grapefruit, resin).
Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium to full body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic.
One-dimensional in the nose, pretty much just grapefruit/resin juice. Almost towards DIPA in the mouth...thicker, sweeter, and boozier than I expected. Overall pretty average.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hops dominate the aroma as an ipa should but some malt does shine through. Some tropical fruit with bigger pine. Very nice looking brew with a deep red color to it. Malt is simple and really complements the hops. Very nice ipa. Flavor and odor are free of common flaws in the the style.

On tap and arrived with a clear copper red tone with good white medium bubbled head. This is a fragrant one with sweet citrus hop aroma. It drinks well! Iíve ordered another!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: APR 25, 2014 Can from the LCBO. Pours a clear deep copper with a small white head that quickly fades and leaves just a bit of lace, Nose is lots of pine and grapefruit with some earthiness. First sip produces some light sweetness with a good level of bitterness to follow it up but then a huge dose of skunkiness and burnt toast appears at the back end. I donít recall this from previous cans so this may just be a bad one. Will have to rerate this in the future. Went right into the sink.
Different can from a different LCBO. Pours a deep clear copper with a huge off white head that fades slowly and leaves great lace. Nose is pine and grass with hints of caramel. Slightly sweet start before the hops kick in and produce a nice bitterness with grapefruit, pineapple and some light spice. MUCH better than the previous can. Medium slick mouth with average carbonation.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a clear copper with one finger of loose off white head diminishing rapidly to a thin skim and moderate lacing. Nose is big piney hops, with some citrus and a little malt. Taste is hop forward like the nose, followed by sweet malt. Medium-bodied, with a lingering bitter, peppery finish. A nicely balanced and quite drinkable IPA.

473 ml can from the LCBO. Canned on March 21. Produced a small off-white head after gently pouring it into an IPA glass so I could fit it all in. Lovely copper colour, The aroma is mouth watering. Juicy hops with some pine resin. Taste has citrus in it, pine resin, lovely bitter finish. Carmel malt is well balanced. One of the best IPAs Iíve had. Stocked up at $2.50 a can!

Amber- copper in the glass. Great, white head with nice lacing. Citrus on the nose. West Coast dose of hops gives a sharp bite with a hint of soap. Well balanced. Taste lingers on the tongue. A great example of the style.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
The hops started as overpowering, from the moment the can was cracked open. I found by about a third the way through the harshness had mellowed out and became enjoyable. Light toasted malt notes with the scent of fresh straw, a strong grapefruit and a light clove aroma. Huge, creamy white head. Excellent lacing throughout. Medium amber in colour. Lightly sweet initial flavour with moderate initial bitterness. A heavily bitter finish. A slightly watery texture. Very fizzy carbonation. Overall enjoyable.
