4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 d07c0m (86) - Ontario, CANADA - DEC 4, 2011
Hazy unfiltered golden amber colour. Thick head with plenty of sticky lace. Hop is huge, aroma is of pine, grapefruit, pineapple. Bitterness is very dry and well balanced with the alcohol. Finish is dry and the bitterness lingers nicely.

Can from LCBO. Light amber with an off white head. Lots of hops - more pine then citrus but apricot and grapefruit come through towards the end of the aroma with some malt. Above average body. moderate carbonation, bit sweet but then bitterness that grows without becoming too agressive. One of the better IPAs I’ve had from Canada - hopefully this becomes a regular offering in Ontario.

Green apple and hops. Not very red color, more golden. Astringent. Like the packaging but not for me.

Can from LCBO. Beautiful copper-brown pour slightly hazy decent white head. Expressive hop profile from tropical fruits (orange, mango, pinneaples) to earthy and grassy hops blends with subtle caramel malts. Taste: Mostly earthy and fruity hops but the malts are more present in the taste making this one easily drinkable without being sweet. Palate: Full and rich palate with lively carbonation. Overall: One of the best canadian example of the style. Nice balance between hops and malts.

I really like this beer. Really piney and grassy, lots of orange and pineapple aroma, great floral hop aroma. Big head on this pour, but it goes away fast. Pretty low carb, really smooth. Great beer.

Can: Floral, inviting nose. Balanced and tasty IPA, and one of the bolder ones I’ve had from B.C. Hops are big and tasty with a juicy, lemon-orange citrus nip. Grassy bitterness is complemented by notes of caramel and cookie dough. Wonderfully balanced – not too bitter and not too sweet. Tasty beer.

Slightly cloudy orange-amber with a medium white head. Fruity, citrus hop aroma with a good deal of orange, tangerine, some grapefruit, and a bit of caramel/candy sweetness. Flavor is very fruity, with a citrus sweetness. The finish is bitter, but retains an element of fruity candy, like I’m chewing a delicious Maynard’s wine gum with my beer.

Canette, merci Patrick.

(Courtoisie de JB84, thanks John for this nice surprise!) Wow!
