An ale fashioned to survive the long voyage from England to India during the British colonization. Hops, hops, and more hops, this ale has an intense aroma and a long lingering finish. Drink as an appetizer on its own, or pair it with any hearty dish. A beer for the connoisseur, this is the Brewmasterís choice. "Cheers!"

Malts: UK Maris Otter, Superior Pale Ale Malt, Carastan Crystal Malt
Hops: German Magnum, Centennial, Amarillo, Simcoe

Slightly orange clear pour with a ton of head. Head is fading slowly. Scent is fully of IPA hops, tons of that grassy tart scent. Wet and fresh at first and then like a shot in dark, thereís that bite. The IPA bite I am not a fan of but that IPA fans seem to love, so I have to guess this is a good IPA, but not the best beer for me. Still drinkable and I can enjoy it but itís just not my style.

Probably the best canned IPA I have had since Surly Furious. Actually, kinda tastes like Surly Furious. Piney, resinous hop profile. Thick back of the back of the tongue bitterness, but smooth. Very dry, very little sweetness.

Orange bitter malty floral medium to full bodied awesome brew. Really nice medium sweetness with high bitterness. Great beer to enjoy.

Honestly I donít know if it gets much better in the IPA department for me, than this beer. Pours a beautiful amber colour with a quickly dissipating head. Aroma is of big tropical hops, pine, citrus, and resin. Tastes of fresh pine, citrus, caramel, toffee, and resin all perfectly balanced. Has the right amount of bitterness with low carbonation and a medium body. It is a very clean IPA and I love it.

My benchmark IPA. As far as I am knowledgeable on the matter it is what a good representation of the style should be. A very clear copper amber with a thin head that leaves excellent lacing. A potent medley of floral and citrus hops melded with smooth caramel malts. The right comradery of bitter and sweet make this medium carbonated hop-pop a great treat.

What a damn good beer this is! I originally bought this last year in a 355ml can at the LCBO. The old school pin-up girl on a bike artwork is cool, but something about 355ml cans makes me assume a beer is going to be generic/uninteresting. Boy was I wrong. Pours a nice, clear amber orange with lots of clear fizzy, foamy white head. Nose is sweet citrus (orange), caramel with a slight bitter backdrop. Nice tasty caramel malt leading beautifully to a huge, citrusy hop blast. Sweet orange, bitter grapefruit, and a nice piney bitter finish. A must-try for hop heads/IPA fans - this is probably my favourite IPA right now.

Draft to pint glass Spruce, tropical fruit, orange, grapefruit, and pine...classic C hops. Crystal clear amber with no head. Orange, grapefruit, hops, and nice string bitterness.

Pours a rich copper with a massive billowy creamy head. Aroma contains hoppy notes of pine resin, and some cracker malts. Tasting notes include delicious citrus, pine, and resin hop notes. Some malt shows through on this IPA also, this is a nice IPA that is more of a british style than a west coast style.

Can from the LCBO. Pours a clear deep copper with a small white head that quickly fades and leaves just a bit of lace, Nose is lots of pine and grapefruit with some earthiness. First sip produces some light sweetness with a good level of bitterness to follow it up but then a huge dose of skunkiness and burnt toast appears at the back end. I donít recall this from previous cans so this may just be a bad one. Will have to rerate this in the future. Went right into the sink. Different can from a different LCBO. Pours a deep clear copper with a huge off white head that fades slowly and leaves great lace. Nose is pine and grass with hints of caramel. Slightly sweet start before the hops kick in and produce a nice bitterness with grapefruit, pineapple and some light spice. MUCH better than the previous can. Medium slick mouth with average carbonation.

4 July 2014, can. Light orange, clear, occasional bubbles. Nose is sweet malt, orange pulp, mildly bitter. Med body and mildly fizzy. Orange juice, grassy hops, some alcohol. Pretty good.

Unclear orange of color with a foamy off white head. An aroma of grapefruit, citrus, sweets, citruspeel and caramel. A flavor of grapefruit, dusty and grainy.
