3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cloudy yellow-orange beer with a thin off-white head. Aroma shows resiny hops and a strange diesel quality. Enough malt to balance the piney/herbal hoppiness. Flavour is dominated by oily hops.

Can from sideshowe. Orange pour. Citrus and resinous hops with a nice strong caramel malt bite. Flavor is hoppy and malty...damn nice brew.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Thanks Derek. Pours golden with some lasting white head. Average mouthfeel, smooth though with slightly acidic finish. Good IPA for sure, right there with other representations of style, but would not say exceeds it. Could have a six-pack of this in a weekend.Aroma may be impacted by being in the can.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can thanks to savvy1982. Pours with a hazed orange body and a off-white head. Great lace (ring per sip) and retention. Aromas of caramel, citrus, orange slices, lightly herbal, light tropical fruits, sort of a candyish toffee quality to it. Flavors are bitter, dry, grainy, husky and some hop fruitiness. Light citrus tea. Mandarin oranges. Not the most assertive or hoppy IPA ever, but it is nicely bitter and easy to drink (and thankfully not sweet). Medium to lively bubbles. Dry. Not exactly styled like a west-coast IPA, but surprisingly tasty for sure!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: MAR 2, 2011 My Bottom Line:
Hoppy resins and their citrus fruit prance atop lightly toasted and honeyed malts in this beautifully dry and bubbly quencher of an India Pale Ale.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-Sturdy foam laces around the clear light amber.
-The tropical fruit personality is not too intense; just aromatic enough to delight the senses at every approach.
-The bitterness is resinous and levelled by the rest of the brew’s medium intensity (for an IPA, that is).
-This may not be the most complex IPA out there, but it is simply beautiful from aroma to finish. I want more of this!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This one had a lot of press going in. Deep copper pour with 2-finger off-white head and great lacing. Nose is resiny hop, peppery, caramel malt. Tastes solidly caramel malty, with piney sprucy hops, black pepper, and a semi dry finish. Very good, and another great canned beer, and those who follow me will remember that about 3 years ago I recanted my submittal that all canned beers suck ass. This one is yet another empirical example that supports my recantation and upholds my correct application of the scientific theory.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
2010-01-23. Crisp clear orange body with a modest foamy off-white head. 3+ Aroma is pleasantly hoppy, muddled but pleasant citrus/tropical fruit. 7+ Flavour is similar, pleasant bitterness throughout, light resin and mild citrus. 7+ Average palate is just a touch lighter than expected. A bit simplistic, but a pretty solid Canadian IPA. Can at Volo, Toronto
Overheard "Steamwhistle is WAY too bitter!" "Oh... perhaps you shouldn’t order the King Pilsener then..."

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 ounce can from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of citrus hops and a bit of toffee. The taste is bitter leafy, citrus hops with a bit of a tart finish and not enough malt to back it up. Medium bodied. Better than the pale, but still lacking.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can. First BC rating! Pours a light orange/amber with practically no head and no lace. Aroma is caramel, citrus hops, orange peel. Taste is very bitter, nutty hops, Brasil nut, very hop-forward. Dry, bitter on the palate. Decent.
