An ale fashioned to survive the long voyage from England to India during the British colonization. Hops, hops, and more hops, this ale has an intense aroma and a long lingering finish. Drink as an appetizer on its own, or pair it with any hearty dish. A beer for the connoisseur, this is the Brewmaster’s choice. "Cheers!"

Malts: UK Maris Otter, Superior Pale Ale Malt, Carastan Crystal Malt
Hops: German Magnum, Centennial, Amarillo, Simcoe
Colour/Clarity: Amber to Orange, Bright. SRM: 14

355ml can from LCBO. Served in a tulip. Pours a transparent orange-brown, fine beige head. Minimal carbonation. Aroma is super hoppy, wow. Hop hop hop hop hop. More subtle notes of orange, pine, vinegar, and candy. Palate: Medium bodied, fizzy, very dry, biting finish, but still somewhat refreshing. Taste: Bitter! Definitely an amazing IPA. Lots of complex flavour. Better hope you like hops!

Somehow less citrusy than their Pale Ale, Red Racer’s IPA seems to focus more on pine and hop bitterness - which isn’t a bad thing. Very nice IPA.

Rated based on limited notes taken on 16 Mar 2012 -- Drank out of a can at Cans in Chicago. I honestly don’t remember much other than the 5 star rating I gave this on Untappd. So cool, I loved it. Good beer.

Pours a clear, copper gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is strongly citrusy, with hints of pine and resin. Taste is pleasantly sweet, hints of bread, toast, nuts and toffee. Finishes slightly bitter with a lingering taste of citrus. Full bodied, but not too rich. Slightly sticky mouth feel. Great IPA.

Tall Boy from the LCBO. Orangey-straw body with thin white head. Extremely piney on the nose, some orange and grapefruit zest notes. Minimal caramel notes. Really full flavored and even sessionable.

12oz can from Corti Bros. Pours orange amber with an attractive white head and a citrus aroma. There is an earthy caramel malt flavor with a long grapefruit finish. A pleasure to drink.

Pours two fingers of head on a clear lighter straw colored body. The aroma is bright pineapple, lemon, grapefruit and pine. Wonderful. The taste is a moderate pine bitterness throughout, though well balanced. The texture is soft and fizzy. A great smelling and feeling IPA, average flavor in a hotly contested category.

Can from LCBO. Flavors of caramel, pine, grassy hops, grapefruit peel, dry bitter finish. A well done brew but not really my type of IPA, more of a British one.

Clearly an older can. Aroma was some nice melon, apricot, and light papaya. Pours amber with a nice foamy head and lacing. Taste is muddled apricot/melon with a dirty orange rind malt. Would love to revisit this a little fresher because the hops that I could taste were pretty great.

12 oz can labeled "Red Betty". Hazy light amber with an average sized off-white head. Aroma is of resin, pine, mango, caramel, and light dank hop notes. Taste is of caramel, malt, brown sugar, pine, resin, oranges, and overripe pineapple.
