COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An ale fashioned to survive the long voyage from England to India during the British colonization. Hops, hops, and more hops, this ale has an intense aroma and a long lingering finish. Drink as an appetizer on its own, or pair it with any hearty dish. A beer for the connoisseur, this is the Brewmaster’s choice. "Cheers!"

Aroma is all hop goodness.Citrus and pine are very assertive. Pale amber, really nice head when poured properly. A bit more balanced towards bitterness than malt. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. This is one of the best IPA made in Canada. Definitely West Coast style. I love it!

0.355l can from kappldav123, thanks a lot! Hazy deep golden yellow, persistent white head. Full-bodied malty base with lots of aromatic hops and hints of tropical fruit. Smooth carbonation. Delicious!

2012 vintage courtesy of my dear friend Garthicus. I am deeply sorry it took me so long to visit and taste this little beauty. Cloudy orange/amber pour with a frothy white head, lots of lace. Grapefruit, orange peel, little spice, toffee, pine. Slightly dry with good carbonation. Magic

355 ml. can purchased in Ladysmith. Great aroma- citrus hops, leaves, pine, and very fruity. Generous head- very frothy. Honey brown- dark yellow. Taste: hops, pine, citrus, fruits- kind of dry. The only weakness to this IPA is that the aftertaste fades pretty quickly (compared to some craft brewed IPA’s). Orange peel is evident- citrusy and leaf notes on the palate. Very fruity and dry- little carbonation. This is a very good choice. I absolutely love the fact that this comes in a 6 pack for a relatively good price; cheers!

Pours a hazy golden copper with amber hi lights and a wheat coloured head that disperses fairly quickly. Moderately carbonated, the aroma is earthy and malty with sweetly spiced hops and a hint of citrus and honey (?) or beeswax (?). The taste is spicy and piney with a nice balance between the malts and the hops. It has a silky mouthfeel with a nice clean crisp lingering finish. I like this one a lot!

355 mL can. Pours orange copper with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Nose is big American hop, tangerine, grapefruit, pine, beeswax and a touch of caramel malt sweetness. Moderately sweet with a medium mouth feel and moderate carbonation, the finish is long and bitter, but well balanced, more hop aroma than astringency. Sticky on the palate. A lovely well balanced IPA.

This is an excellent, easily on of the best I’ve had in awhile. Aggressively hopped, lots of grapefruit and grass, but very well balanced. A perfect combination of bitter and sweet. I’d love to be able to try this again. Bought in Toronto in spring, 2013.

UPDATED: JUN 8, 2013 Pours with a thin finger cap that flattens quicker than a Vancouver suburb in an earthquake. Great can. Great beer. Wish I could try more of their stuff but I’m a few provinces separated. I could dump a dozen of these on ice & drink ’em all night. I believe some of you call that sessionable.

355 mL Can. Gold - amber fizzy body with a thick and tenacious frothy head leaving foamy ribs as the beer is sipped. Grapefruit rind, lemon, clover, and intense resiny hops titillate the nose -I’m maxed out here. Sweet malts, quickly get taken over by intense resiny "grapefruit rind" hops tapering to a long bitter hop finish that seems to have a wee hint of clover. This is another example of a beer style I sometimes like better than a lot of Belgians. Gotta love those grapefruits ;)
