2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 WheatKing (703) - Oak Bay, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 7, 2012
Mix of the usual acetaldehyde and DMS, but this time with a tinge of biscuit and lemon/floral hops. For the style this is very good, I got it in the variety pack and am actually drinking my second one now; I figured after one for the tick I’d just save the other three for people who prefer this style. So the fact I cracked another one open without wincing is saying something... BTW these guys make the most beautiful cans, reminds me of Christmas.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 reebtogi (3262) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 27, 2012
355ml can pours a pale golden color with a finger of white head that settles to leave a few specks of lace. Aroma is grassy hops and cereal grains. Taste is grassy hop bitterness with a grainy malt sweetness with a fairly crisp, clean finish. Light bodied with modest carbonation. A slight bit better than a typical macro.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Lagerboy (667) - British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 2, 2012
Clear pale straw yellow, white foamy head settles and lingers. Sweet malty corny grassy aroma. Mild honey malts and light floral hop taste. Crisp and clean. Average carbonation, light bodied, lightly hopped. Finishes floral and slightly bitter. Several rungs up from the mass produced industrial swill that most Canadians consume. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 callmemickey (1355) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 21, 2012
UPDATED: MAR 1, 2013 A: Pale, golden-straw body. Slightly cloudy. Large fluffy white head. Quickly settled down as it left spotty sticky lacing.
S: Light grains, grassy-floral hop notes. Restrained and clean.
T: Light, slightly-sweet grains. Large grassy character. Slightly bitter.
M: Moderate carbonation up-front gives way to a slightly thin and weak finish. Nice dry, refreshing feel but lacks that crisp bite that would improve the beer.
O: Overall, a pleasant easy-drinking lager. Not the most complex brew, but its not marred by any off-notes... Worth a shot.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 bcBelgianbrew (55) - , British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 20, 2011
Wasn’t too bad. Typical lager. Not really malty, not really hoppy. Light body, average carbonation. Can’t recall the finish, but I’m thinking it wasn’t too bad. As lagers go I’d drink it again, but I wouldn’t go out of my way. Surprisingly I liked it better than the white ale.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 pintbypint (1975) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 22, 2011
355ml can. Pours light yellow, small white head. Nose has light malt/grain sweetness. Flavour has some more grain notes, quick sweetness with a light grassy hop character with a low key bitterness that makes this more tolerable than most pale lagers. Light body, average carbonation and mouthfeel.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Bendrixian (677) - Halifax, Nova Scotia, CANADA - JUL 14, 2011
pour clean and clear with lots of carbonation and has a slight murky but clean yellow to white colour. aroma is somewhat sweet oats, very pilnser like and has an overall reduced aroma. it is a light to medium bodied brew with aspirations of hops but not much in terms of flavour. For a lager i was expecting a bit more overall roundness because as it is the brew is fairly generic.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Atheist_Peace (702) - Halifax, Nova Scotia, CANADA - JUN 26, 2011
355ml can. Clear pale yellow pour with aspirations of gold with a white head that looks a little like bubble bath... Weird nose that almost wants to be hoppy but has an almost medicinal quality. Clean and crisp on the palate, a touch sweet with a faint hoppiness in a very light finish. Pretty good for the style...I guess.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 DuffMan (5192) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 21, 2011
Can, part of the summer mixer. Very pale yellow with brisk carbo and a medium white head, no lace. Aroma initially reveals subtle tinned pineapple and biscuit, but these elements are short lived, yielding to a low aroma of clean grains. Grainy palate of low sweetness with a light hop note in the finish, marred by a slight plastic and metallic aftertaste. I expected a better lager from these guys. Just okay for me.
