COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Red Racer Classic Pale Ale is hand-crafted in small batches using Mariss Otter barley from England and hops from Washington’s Yakima valley. This big and bold pale ale has a citrusy aroma and a full, malty body, giving it a distinctive character that will inspire the beer connoisseur in all of us. A good choice paired with any favorite meal.

In short: A rough dusty pale ale. Not fun.
How: Can 12oz. Consumed very fresh a few days after receiving it as a bonus from presario. Thanks Trevor
The look: Clear golden body topped by a short-lived off-white head
In long: Nose is tangy and grassy. Carbonation is way too active, this has the mouthfeel of a soda-pop. Dry pine tree bark, some oranges, dusty yeast, dirty forest floor, dirty leafy hops, dry grass, mineral water, crisp discreet (too discreet) pale malts that keep a low profile. I like dry/dusty beer but this is dry/dusty done the wrong way. The beer looks like a clean crisp pale ale with its clear golden body but it feels very dusty and rough. As far as Pale Ale goes this one is far behind, this red racer is not a ferrari, either that or it had an awful pit-stop strategy.

Can. Pours a golden body with a white head. Very hoppy for a pale ale. Nice grass and herbal tones, a strong pine presence that dominated most of the hop character of this beer. Simple light with a potent pine and hop resinous finish. A nice hoppy pale ale.

[2723-20100123] 355mL can. Light twiggy hops aroma with mildly musty grains. Clear, medium orange body with a big creamy off-white head. Light bitter hops flavour has a long-lasting bitter citrus peel aftertaste. Medium body. Nice drinkable, hoppy and good.

Can. Dark amber. Nice head and lacing. Quiet scent. Rich body. Woody taste with nice hops and a hint of soapiness. More Brittish perhaps than American. A nice drinker waiting for Spring on the deck.

UPDATED: JUN 16, 2013 2013-06-09. Crisp orange body large fluffy white head and lace. 3++ Aroma is pleasantly hoppy, modest citrus, light leafy notes. Flavour is pleasant hoppy, muddled citrus, orange peel touches. Average bodied palate, pleasant carbonation. Very enjoyable, pleasantly hoppy pale ale. 7/4/7/3/15-16 - 3.6 Can from LCBO.

2010-01-23. Crisp orange amber body with a modest white head. 3+ Pleasant bitterness throughout, modest hops and resin are pleasant but less assertive than my preference. 6+ Mild aroma, light hops with mild resin and muted citrus. Average palate is on the light side. Okay, but too mild for my tastes but pleasant. 6/3/6/3/13 - 3.1 Can at Volo, Toronto

12oz can. Medium off-white head that mostly dissipates atop crystal clear amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, orange, light lime. Taste is medium sweet, orange, some bread/caramel, light lime. Light-medium body. Perfectly decent APA, in a generic sort of way.

Can at Volo, fresh batch. Lightcolour with some white head. Carbonation is right there.Very drinkable, an understated but enjoyable bitterness. Drying. Some citrus. Hits the style, but is not up to the best American pales.Neutal aroma.

Pours pale gold into a shaker. Fizzy white head recedes to nothing. Sweet cookie and caramel. Bread upfront turning to a bitter hop finish.
