Massively carbonated in the cans we’ve had. Hops are citrus/carrot. I’ve never seen carrot listed as a hop characteristic, but seriously when you make an orange/carrot juice with your juicer it tastes like this. Maybe If I drink enough of this I’ll get Jay Kordich eyebrows. Malt is a bit heavier than expected, without many "ringing" qualities, where the hops and malt echo back and forth in the good APAs. Finish is tangerine.
Good, but their ESB and IPA are so awesome that perhaps my expectations were too high.

Rating #1119 06.06.2014 - Can from @foxjunk. 5%, Golden amber pour with a bubbly, lasting white foam. Aroma is sweet piney, lemony, mild grassiness. Taste is a blast of citrusy sweetness, tempered by a decent punch of hoppy bitterness. Not unbelievably memorable, but a decent APA. Nice.

Confused this with the Red Racer IPA for Autism. As a pale ale it is a bit of a refreshing surprise. Lots of citrus notes and grapefruit in particular. Reasonable bitterness and a slightly sour finish.
Needs to be cold to get the most out of it.
Definitely different for a pale ale but good none the less.

i like the citrus heavy hops in here, but they fade rather quickly. sessionable and refreshing, just not too deep.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Visual: Pours clear copper orange with a decent small creamy head, a small layer of retention, only a few streams, several loose and one tight-fast, sticky lacing.
Nose: grapefruit tangerine hops (lvl-5)-pungency
Attack: incoming hopped bitterness, orange oil
Mid-palate: tart, (lvl-3)-sweetness, fizzy-creamy mouthfeel, (MAIN) yellow grapefruit, toffee malts, bitter peel hops
Finish: light sour, grapefruit peel bitter hops, fruity citrus malt.
Summary: Bitter peel hops throughout, not a whole lot of carry or length.

In bottle (advent calendar); didn’t really get to drink this one. Another RR beer that foamed up when opened and wasted 80% of the bottle ... not sure what is going on with this brand

Very citrusy for a pale ale, which I like. Nice notes of some earthy pine bitterness, and lots of tropical flavour.

Aroma is a sweet maltiness with some earthy and clove hopiness. Taste is a sweet light maltiness with a fairly pronounced bitterness that is of citrus, clove and earthiness. Appearance is a clear orange with a thin pearl head that retains fairly poorly.
