Red Racer Pilsner is brewed in the classic Bavarian tradition, using only the finest two-row barley, and hops from the Hallertau region of Germany. This light and golden Pilsner has a distinct hop aroma and flavour, with a dry, crisp finish.

What’s Inside:
Malts – German and Canadian Malt
Hops – Perle and Hallertauer Tradition

Visual: Pours frosty golden yellow-amber with a dissipating small head, a thin layer of micro retention, many slowish steady streams. Nose: straw, grassy, yeast, very light malt. (lvl-2)-pungency Attack: super crisp, incoming subdued hops Mid-palate: (lvl-4)-sweetness mixed with medium bitter hops, (MAIN) light barley malts, grainy bread, grassy-hay, yeast Finish: ninja (under-the-radar) lingering soft hopped liquid malt finish. Summary: Good, clean, simple flavours. I would enjoy this for its texture and simplicity, not for intense depth nor aroma.

Pours clear golden with a light head that fades quickly. Nose is slightly buttery and grassy. Aromas of light sweet grain, medium grassy bitterness. Tastes very light sweet and low/med bitterness. Light body with good carbonation. Nice typical pils bite to the finish.

Jaune pale et très claire avec un petit col blanc. L’arôme des graines et un peu d’houblon. Le goût est du malt léger avec des céréales et un amertume doucement amer. Très fraîche, une bonne pilsner.

Crystal clear pale gold, minimal bubbly white head, no noticeable lacing. Aroma is hay, dough, banana, and a slight hint of resin. Taste is sweet and malty, finishing with a faint, crisp floralness. Light, thin, watery body, lacking in carbonation, and a long sweet finish. Pretty good for what it is.

Aroma is a fairly strong sulphur body with light sweet malts and honey. Taste is a fairly basic sweet malt profile with a fairly well balanced bitterness that mellows out nicely. Slight tanins on tip. Crisp easy drinker overall. Appearance is a clear straw body with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.

330ml bottle pours a pale golden color with a finger of white head that dissipates quickly leaving some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is grass and grains. Taste is a grassy and spicy hop bitterness with a grainy malty sweetness. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. Only a little better than a true Czech pilsner.

Pours a clear straw with a big frothy head. Aroma is of spice, citrus, and tropical fruits, no doubt those Hallertauers at work. Tastes of tropical fruits, bread, herbs, and grapes. Has a light body that is very clean and then the strange part, the aftertaste. I felt like I was eating sourdough bread over and over every time I swallowed. Maybe just me, but I found the aftertaste killed it for me.

One of the most enjoyabeer ’Sners I have ever had, this right here. Wonderful mildly spicy aroma blended seamlessly with wheat and floral notes. Very clean and clear, extremely pale yellow with a lace-king white foam. Nice crisp mouthfeel on this mildly bitter brew, one I would enjoy any moment of any day of any week.

[5482-20130607] 355mL can. Mild grassy yeast aroma. Clear, pale yellow orange body with a quick foamy white head. Bitter grainy grass flavour has a bitter toasted aftertaste. Medium body. Interesting. (6/3/7/3/13) 3.2

On tap @ CRAFT. Pour is clear golden in color with a white head. Smell is a touch on the grainy side. Some floral and grassy hops, bread, and a touch of biscuit. Mild esters and yeast. Faintly spicy. Flavor is mildly sweet but lacks much bitterness. Could use more hop character. Some grass, flowers, and yeast. Hints of pear and apple. Some corn flakes, too.
