Red Racer Pilsner is brewed in the classic Bavarian tradition, using only the finest two-row barley, and hops from the Hallertau region of Germany. This light and golden Pilsner has a distinct hop aroma and flavour, with a dry, crisp finish.

Really inviting floral and lightly spicy hop nose is supported by a pleasant, lightly grainy malt profile. Brilliantly clear golden body is topped by a slight, white, fine bubbles head that lasts well and leaves some lace. Flavour is as the aroma promises - plenty of floral and spicy hops, moderate bitterness and lovely cereal, grainy malt character. Medium light body with fairly strong, lightly prickly carbonation. Really reminds me of Christofel Blond which is a personal favourite. Well done! Enjoyed on tap as Gary Lohin (of Red Racer)’s Hoppy Pilsner at the Alibi Room.

Poured from 355mL can. Clear, blonde with minimal white head. Aroma quite generic grainy. Light, sweet, cereal flavour. Not bad.

A great example of pils. Yellow-golden in the glass with a nice white head. Nice lacing. Floral hops on the nose with a hint of citrus. The hops give a crisp finish. Well balanced on the tongue.

Nice little beer. Lots of spice and floral notes. Decent amount of bread but stood out quite well on it’s own.

A little hazier than I’m expecting from a pils. There is a noticeable hop presence in the aroma and flavour that lends a floral quality to both. The palate is very smooth on this one making it very sessionable. Would benefit from a touch more bitterness on the back end and clearing of the haze from the appearance.

Bottle, shared with Rockley. Medium golden yellow with a dense white head that retains beautifully. Fragrant floral hops provide an inviting aroma. The clean, firm grainy palate is complimented beautifully by delicate orchard-blossom floral hop character and a moderately bitter finish. How does this not score any higher? I thought this was a magnificent pils. Refreshing and characterful, clean and crisp.

650ml brown bottle. Clear yellow pour with a medium sized white head. Nose has noble hops and bready malts. Taste has bready malt and grain with a fresh grassiness. Light bitter finish with grassy and spicy hop aftertaste, well carbonated. A nice pilsner.

A nice refreshing and sessionable pils. Bright yellow pour with a thick white head. A nose of mild grains, toasted breads, grassy hops and mild herbal spiced notes. A mild flavour profile as well with grainy malts and light hop nuances. Overall a good easy to drink pilsner
