4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Really inviting floral and lightly spicy hop nose is supported by a pleasant, lightly grainy malt profile. Brilliantly clear golden body is topped by a slight, white, fine bubbles head that lasts well and leaves some lace. Flavour is as the aroma promises - plenty of floral and spicy hops, moderate bitterness and lovely cereal, grainy malt character. Medium light body with fairly strong, lightly prickly carbonation. Really reminds me of Christofel Blond which is a personal favourite. Well done! Enjoyed on tap as Gary Lohin (of Red Racer)’s Hoppy Pilsner at the Alibi Room.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
355 ml can from a six-pack from Real Canadian Liquorstore, served in a goblet. Pours a brilliant golden hue with fine, moderate carbonation and a soapy, short-lived white head that leaves an island of webby lace. Aroma is of biscuity malt and hay/grass, with woody noble hops; flavor is lightly honeyish, toasty-crisp, fine, with that nice peppery pilsner note at the end of the sip. Thin, clean-finished. Central City and Red Racer deliver an excellent and very quaffable brew to compete with pils peers like Fernie’s Project 9.

Can from sobeys. Date stamp of April 2015.
Pours golden with a foamy head and lots of bubbles. Aromas of faint malt and somewhat musty. Very mild malty note. Not very crisp or refreshing. Tastes past its prime.

Can. Not sure of age. Crisp feel, but a little boring otherwise. Light hay and cereal malt. Not bad, just ho hum.

Rating #1340. 2.12.2014. 341mL bottle #2 from CC/P49 Mystery Box. Clear yellow colour, nice white foam, medium retention. Aroma is pleasant, generously hopped. Mouthfeel is bubbly and crisp, medium carbonation. Taste is hint of sweet malt, dries out in the fairly smooth finish with a nice hoppy presence. Delicious.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can. Straw yellow in colour with strong carbonation. Fairly neutral aroma, maybe some faint grainy malt and minerals. Flavors are of wet grain, wet stones and a bit of grassy-herbal hop. The malts tend to linger a bit on the finish as well. Serviceable, but a bit on the bland side. Could be cleaner.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pale straw yellow pour, a little cloudy, with a thin white head. Aroma is corn and cereal grain, sweet, but not cheap and skunky - smells like a good pilsener. Flavour better, some grainy malt, a bit grassy.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Umm...not bad. Typical pilsener. Pretty grain driven with a hoppy finish. I find it a bit watery. Average at best.
